There's a chicken in the house!

After waiting for a year and a half I finally have the drugs in my hands.  AND PTERODACTYLS IN MY TUMMY!!!!!  It's my second time to TX and I feel like I've educated myself (with your help!)... but I can't help but be apprehensive!  I found feathers sprouting under my arms and have started to cluck like a chicken!  Friday is the big day and I just want to get that first injection out of the way!

Hugs to all!
Janette

Oh how I remember that pre treatment anxiety.  At least you have a humorous attitude to match your anxiety.  And since you have been around the block you know the chickens will leave the building on Friday!

Tell me about yourself.  When did you treat before, and what happened then?  Have you had a biopsy done?  What did it say?

I'm a GT1a for 25 years.  TX in 02/03 and relapsed.  BX in 03 was grade 2/stage 0.   BX in 2012 was grade 3/stage 2.  My progressive illness is definitely progressing!

I'm as ready as I'm going to get!  Been hanging out here for months and feel like I've known most of you for years!

Smiling every day! (makes people wander what you're up to! lol)

I remember that first day all too well. I was so scared, but at the same time excited. I wanted to start treatment so bad; I just wanted the virus out of my body. You will do great and you will get lots of help here throughout your journey.

Good luck this time around.

My advice is be prepared to be a lillte off center when you first start the meds. Try to get everything organized a couple days before you start tx.

Wishing you well!!!

Welcome to the most expensive roller coaster ride ever.  You will have up and you will have downs.  That is what this forum is for, for you to share your ups and help you with your downs.
Try and focus on the tx as your main priority, nothing else is as important as this. Just remember that.  Start a countdown after you hit a couple milestones like your first completed week. First undetectable blood report.  Make this mountain climb as simple as one step up at a time. Do not look at the top except to view your ultimate goal. Focus energies on obtainable goals and reward your self.
Try and have some fun, enjoy the ride with us.
