ROLF!!
I don't know how I missed this. Love you guys!!
That was hilarious and very creative,
And just as the animals impede the use of the bedroom, we must carefully navigate to be careful to not step in their crap or smell their offending odors.
Imagine if you will, a scene from LaBoheme. Rodolfo and Mimi intend to go back to the apartment for a tryst. When they arrive, they find that Benoît, the landlord, has placed his livestock in the bedroom.
"It is a good arrangement", Benoît, explains. "The livestock will help keep the room warmer, and they will be out of the elements. It's the best of all possible worlds!!"
Rudolfo objects, the animals do not belong in the bedroom, they are nice animals indeed, the offer is appreciated, but the beasts impede the use of the bedroom.
The manager of the building.....the super..... asks, well.....which one of the beasts is it that needs to leave? Which is it that gives offense and which....... the best........ that could stay?
.....The debate then extends to which room of the apartment the livestock would be the least intrusive. : )
Opera ensues; Mimi sings about her needs as a woman, Rudolpho sings about his rights as a tenant and Benoît, sings about the various virtues of his livestock. It's a beautiful moment.
I will leave you to weigh the complexities of the current arrangement.....

Em, putting the video links directly into the thread just under the first post is an obvious attempt to force the reader to hit this link. I find it offensive and just another creative way to get around blocking ads and forcing advertising down the throats of those who don't want it. If it must be done, please move it to the bottom of the page, or on the side bar outside of the thread content like it was before. This recent change was NOT an improvement to the site.
Regarding which video pictures are most offensive - most of them are to me. Following is a sample of some of the most offensive:
STD testing for women (needles)
STD testing (needles)
Understanding Hepatitis B (needles)
Hepatitis B testing and treatment
Contracting Hepatitis B
Tattoos & Pregnancy
Vaccines for your Baby
Water Baths
Doctor's Visits Month 9
Pregnancy Tests: False Positives
Sources for Joint Pain
Understanding PTSD
PTSD Symptoms
There's so many directed towards pregnancy to an audience where pregnancy is the last thing on their minds. This could be very offensive to many.
I do appreciate your concern and hope this changes back.
.....when you slide a cursor over the videos...... yes..... they do move, change color, script changes, background color changes and the click to play arrow comes up. Moving a cursor over them highlights them and activates them.
I don't think people mind having the feature..... but why is it in the middle of a thread?
Why not off to the side like other forum features?
Why was there a decision to place to place these inside of a thread?
...... by the way..... I actually miss an old feature that used to accompany threads; other similar threads or topics. I used to click on and read those. That was a feature that was on topic and useful. And it drove views-"hits".

I'm sorry, I was speaking of the videos. Those do not blink or move.
If you have concerns about the ads, I'm happy to talk about that in a PM, but let's keep this to the videos.
The syringe one is bad, obviously, and I'm checking about getting that moved, but any others?
Em
Anything moving and blinking about while I am trying to read a thread is offensive and I feel inconsiderate to the ppl participating on the forum.
Hi everyone -
Can you tell me if there are certain videos that are more bothersome than others? If you hover over them, a title should appear.
If we can't/don't move the location, we'd like to know which ones are offensive so we can at least remove those, possibly.
Thanks,
Emily
Anti popups don't work because these videos are embedded, not popups...I think...Mark
I dont think we should share all the amazing secrets about Macs - then everyone will get them and all the hackers will be forced to focus on Macs... lets keeps some things on the low down, ok?
I don't get those with my iMac,it's been so long that I've been using a Mac I forgot about pop ups.On a Mac all you do is click on option no ads or pop ups and thats it.
i agree with you. these videos are obnoxious. i wish med help would get rid of them. belle
Well...... I gave it a try. I guess I am wrong. The program gave it as an option but it does not seem to function on these.
So.....I'm wrong, or it did not work for me.
I totally agree that it is obstructive, distracting and invasive....... and by design. : )
willy
This complaining must have worked because I don't have the obnoxious videos anymore. Yes! I didn't even go to adblock yet...
Thanks OH
I have adblock but didn't know there was a way to get rid of the videos.
It really is invasive.
Actually........ you can. (If you use adblock)
Hover over the offending videos and right-click. You may have an option to delete that type of image.
If medhelp chose to do so they could put these off topic images off to the side, instead of forcing them into the mainsteam of a thread. It is a deliberate decision to make readers look at them.
If people get so fed up with the clutter they can easily add the ad-block program. I was forced to do so when the abundance of advertising programs, images, flash, and interactive trash kept freezing my computer, or lagging it endlessly.
Sorry for the tirade, but it is a little excessive. These are not advertisements, but it is an "advertisement" to use a forum feature in a nuisance location that has nothing to do with any of the threads they appear in (that I have seen).
willy
Agree OH. I've figured out how to get rid of the annoying ads with Adblock plus, but can't get rid of these obnoxious videos.
Good for you, don't really know what your talking about, are these vids on medhelp?
Amen to that!!!
Like a nascar racer; decal, decal, decal, decal, decal, decal.
It actually used to freeze my computer when the page would load from medhelp. (going back a few years)
