Hello ALL! Been MIA a lot thru Xmas, work and this fungu bug I have (think it's a secret weapon sent over by Iraq!:) Nasty a*s 'bug', wierd one, reminding me of shots nights! Hope all are hanging in there, or doing great & I see several threads I want to post to. I've signed off/on a lot lately, in the rush of back to 'normal'.

I wanted to post this that someone is raving about, has bought, trying and sent me the info. While it may well be a good mineral, good for your health...that 1st paragraph upsets me!! Another 'cure all' for us, others that can so sway ill people!

I believe God talks to all of us, not just those with a miracle cure to sell, or even those with religious credentials. If Jesus tells me he will cure my Hep C, I would believe it. So far Jesus has been pretty quiet on the subject and I think we both know what I must do, and I am doing it. He did give me the ability to read and reason, and has given me people I can trust and lean on. In the end, I believe we must do all we can and, after that, trust in Providence.

Beware of the snake oil salesmen, especially if they claim religious authority!

If you want to read more about this krap, I have left a few links.  This stuff is also used to clean buildings that have been contaminated by anthrax.  The fda will not approve it for anything or than washing fruit at very minimal concentrations.  It has never be approved as a drug and all these companies and websites who mention that it cures this, that and the other have all been warned or will be at sometime in the future.  I think they switch quite often, last time I read about it which was at least two years ago, I think they were selling it from Australia, but I could be wrong.  

Anyways, don't take this stuff seriously as it is a serious crock of the worst kind.  A crock to part infected and sick ppl from their hard earned money while giving them false hope.  That's just wrong on so many levels, and I'm sure most ppl see it.

I saw that P. Swayze interview, realistic and not trying to be 'oh, of course I don't say why me or I'm not angry'....how could one not go thru those emotions as well as so many others. You never wish it on another (Tho I would only one in this world, a Judge John Futch in Ocala , Fl.! Would love to do a thread on Fla. laws and misuse of power...BUT...) I'm back now :(

That's the point exactly , what DOES false advertisement apply to? I know several on this stuff, pushing me to try it, but with that BS, snake oil, preditor of the ill advertisement....I don't think my mind would let it work even if it did, ya know!?

And whatever the laws may be in Malawi government, if it's sold HERE, ours should apply!

So if my sister in her desperation tries this stuff......her family can sue when it does NOT cure cancer!?

I´ve read some in the book seems very honest and its almust like a novell. I also checked on the internet than I came a cross something even more spectacular a 1 minut cure that could cure every diseases there is it claimed.
But that was so obviously a fraud, so I suppose this also is, unbelievable how cunning some probably are.

A couple of years ago I saw some of this famous crusade preachers in a tv program (a bbc documentary) Ivé even sent money to one of them before that huh!!!
One of them ( not the one I´ve sended money to thank God for that ) he took money from people that didn´t even got healed lots of money and when he said he knowed for sure that everybody that didn´t put money in the collection ( he said that in a sermon just before they sended out the collection bages)   he knowed he got it directly from God that they shall all end up in hell then I almust flipped.

The day after I was very upset and went to a baptist church where I know the reverend whom I respect a lot.

I asked him if he seen the program yesterday and if so what he thought about it.
Yes I saw it he replied and it was terrible and I´ve got to admit there was a certain passage in the scripture that came to my mind when I was watching it.

Well, it seems that it is getting so that we can't trust even the Malawi government to keep the level of medicinal testing objective and accurate! What next?  Wait .... is there even a government in Malawi?  ;-)

I think our government (speaking of impaired/failed govermnents!) could do something via the FDA if it wasn't for all the campaign money provided by the "supplement" industry that keeps them out of regulation's grasp. This strategy protected the tobacco industry for so many years, and so many billions of dollars in revenue.

I am in a cynical sarcastic mood today!  Sorry, but that sort of thing gets me riled. I believe right now, this industry can be held liable for harm caused by their product but are under no legal obligation to prove that the claims they make are true.

I would support legislation requiring these providers to prove claims of efficacy, rather than just showing that the porduct will not be harmful. Make them prove it, or hold them liable for their false claims. Horde's of class-action jackpot lawyers would jump on this like a rat on a donut if there were laws allowing legal recourse, thus providing enforcement. That's how lawyers earn their living.

Flacks for the industry say that this would chill the enterprise that can provide relief to many. I say hogwash, they can still make and sell the stuff, they just can't advertise that it cures cancer, AIDS, bunnions and makes your computer run faster without some scientific evidence.

Here endeth my stump speech!

CA...yes BUT....'cure' it all?  Hep A,B,C and cancer and so on. I have some that are vouching for the stuff but with that kind of claim, it becomes another scam. How many people that should be getting proven treatment will/can get hurt in these claims, spending time (&money) trying to 'cure' themselves. I'm all about organics, health foods no chemicals but even I knew my only PROVEN cure was thru these God awful chemical drugs, and I did them and got cured. How far would my liver damage had gone had I tried this 'miracle' cure for 2 years first?

  I get p*ssed when I see these claims, without the proof, studies, years to back them.

Nothing should be allowed to claim 'will cure these diseases' without the proper steps, studies, proof. Many herbs help many things, but they say 'helps, aids in' not cures.

I don't like seeing this stuff either, it really annoys me,   when people take advantage of the sick, the poor, the scared, It drives me nuts!  Think they should all be jailed!  Nothing but giant cons!

I agree totally on many things that can help, aid us, others in diseases, maganging, helping with symtons, I'm an advocate of milk thistle (which I know you can't take) but as we agree, I'd have really checked the stuff out had it not said 'cures' it all!  With my sister terminal, looking for anything to help  prolong her life, it really upsets me to see these claims! From what I've heard, read the stuff isn't bad BUT...cure all that?! How can they say that!?

I can see why it would upset you.  I am not saying that certain supplements aren't beneficial, because I believe that there is value in certain supplements.   But, if a drug was out there that could actually CURE Hepatitis C, CURE HIV/AIDS, Cancer, etc., doesn't it make sense to think that the NIH or some similiar group, would have researched it?  How about some drug company..., one would think that they'd jump on it to capitalize on it.  I think that alot of these herbal/vitamin sites try to capitalize on people's desperation to get well and end up wasting people's money.  They my opinion on it.  Now, I do drink this green tea/chocolate tea stuff right now, because I'm not on treatment.  I has 100% pure cocoa in it and a huge amount of green tea and Resveratol in it.  It contains very little calories and tastes just like chocolate.  It has no sugar in it as it's sweetened with Stevia-a natural sweetener.  Anyway, I feel like this is relatively harmless to me OFF of treatment since green tea has a lot of good research behind it and so do the benefits of chocolate-the antioxidants.  I'll give anybody the name of it if they want, but they'll have to PM me because I don't want to be accused of trying to push it on anybody or sell it.  I get no points, benefits, or anything on telling someone about it.  Anyway, I also started taking fish oil supplement once a day, since I'm not on treatment.  There again, there's lot's of research behind that.  I do exercise about 6-7 days a week.  I usually try to do 2 miles or more on the treadmill, but I sometimes have to take a break in between instead of trying to do it all at once.  I didn't mean to make this so long..., sorry.    Susan400
