To my friends, fellow heppers

Hello ALL! I hope everyone is getting thru tx, re-cooping or finding answers whether to or not to!

I took a very needed break from a few things the past mth.

While I miss you, getting my life back is like....coming back to life! Out of the fog, the dark, the reclusive ness of it all. Any newbies.....I was Geno 2b, tx 24 weeks, UND week 4, SVR!! I did not do well, homebound, bed ridden thru most. Post tx was just h*ll also for me. First 4 weeks, sicker than during. Next few mths relentless muscle pain, fatigue, mental depression, just thought life would never get back to normal.
7 mths post.....a couple weeks  ago it's like I woke up and I was better, back to -almost-normal. The leg pain just left me! Very few days I have any pain now, and it was a lot of pain!  It is SUCH a relief to know I am, will get back to normal. 5-6 mths post, I was getting very worried.

While I am sure most understand, I do apologize for MIA for awhile, not answering some PM's, notes. I also am dealing with my sister being given a time now on her life (cancer) and along with this tx, struggle, my mind is pretty whipped. My heart is very whipped. BUT, I am regaining my life, riding my butt off and it feel's awesome! I care about MANY here and just wanted to say, again, thanks so much for helping me thru tx, post tx and so many things. I truly hope all on tx are getting thru it and please know.....it DOES end. It is worth it, for me and many and HANG IN THERE! I am 'back', not as much but I will be checking my PM's more, etc. so any Geno 2's I can help, as per my odd tx, reducing, hard time, please feel free to ask. Goes for all, just more input for Geno 2's, having BEEN :) one.

On to Halloween decorating and life!

My best to everyone here, hugs & love LL

I am sooooo behind in my Halloween deco....I'll post pics in here when I'm done, EVERY year I say it's my last year, LOL. ANYONE in Fla. (or anywhere) ...your more than welcome to come to the annual party! Been in the paper many times and have had record 500-800 thru on Halloween! Average 100-300 at my party! I'll pay more attention here in Nov!

'Susan'....Hi sweetie! Need to give you a call soon and hope your recovering from your last let down. Thanks for you words :)

Deb...NYer Deb....Oh yeah...pain gone is a great thing! My amnesia hasn't worked tho, but thats a good thing as every day I well know what progress, better is! It WAS 'that bad', lol. Thanks on my sis :(

TeeVee....I'm so sorry about your friend :(  Wasn't she the one that stopped tx a week or so also? And I know that worry, but you'll be SVR. You know the odd's if you are at 12 weeks is HIGH! Even busier than a widow women,,,,I'll be watching for your SVR post!

Merrybe....Rode Harleys AND horse's ALL day today :) Oh what a fabulous day! Yes, a short time ago I could NOT and couldn't care less to try to!
How you feeling????

Trish....thank you for the wonderful post :) It is tremendous to feel 'right' again, be happy, upbeat...just to really FEEL again, even the saddness as well right now.
It was quite ironic when my poor father had to watch both his daughters go off to chemo on the same day last year, each on opposite sides of Shands. I knew my odd's were so much greater, so it helped me in never feeling 'poor me' thru out it all. Oddly, as sick as my sister get's, has been....I was more bedridden and she helped me. I have been by here side, she was, is by mine. Her struggle has been ongoing near 9 years, I just don't know how she has done it. We are blessed she has been here these 9 yrs., given 5% back then, but that helps little in facing today. As too many of us know, watching a loved one suffer, hurt is just unexplainable. Thank you for your words Trish, it all helps much.

Tallahassee...nice to see you too :)

Jacob....She is my sister, my 'mother', my friend.....even thru her meddling, motherly ways, lol. We do know God has seen her thru this far and will continue to. And I can't ever say 'good bye', just I'll see you again. I can not, still, imagine this life without her tho :(
Thanks very much and God be with you also, LL

Good to see you're recuperating from treatment and feeling better with the passing of time.  It is sad reading about your sister, and can tell by your words the two of you have been so close over the years.  Hoping you both feel God's strength during this special time of loving and drawing the other so very close as her earthly time draws to an end - but it is really not good bye. God bless you both. Jacob

I'm truly glad to hear that you're finally starting to feel better after your treatment.  Honestly, was starting to get worried because it seemed like it was just not getting better at all so it's a relief to know you're pulling out of it and good to hear you're getting your own quality of life back, you've earned it.

I'm saddened to hear of your sister's current situation.  You've all been fighting hard for a very long time, particularly your sister.  Sounds as if she has gotten much more out of life than the doctors expected her to and then the bloody cancer had planned for her but she .. and you .. had other plans and she has beaten it in other ways.  To be given a timeframe is tough...tougher than I can imagine ... so all I can say here is that my heart goes out to your sister, you and your family and I wish you much strength and courage .. and incredible moments of beauty that surpass everything as you go through this next while....and much grace and peace to sustain all of you.

I am happy to hear that you are feeling a whole lot better and are now optimistic about the future.  Your tx post tx was very debilitating and it is great to hear that the worst is over now!

My friend who was on the same meds as you relapsed and is trying to get in on another trial.  I thought for sure she would make it because you did...she took it pretty hard.

I am going for my 6 mos post tx lab the first week in November and am starting to get a little worried.  I will stay positive for now.

Sorry to hear about your sister.

Thanks for the update and wishing you continued wellness!

AS always LL - count on you to come in here and encourage others!  Some things just don't change much do they!

As Walrus said - boy pain IS great when it leaves and I am so glad for you that you are getting well.  You will be better and better until that wonderful treatment amnesia hits and you think "wow it wasn't really THAT bad" LOL.....thank God for the amnesia feature!

We'll all be thinking of you and your sister - you are both so blessed to have each other!

I am so sorry that you are going through this.  I lost my double-first cousin to AML Leukemia 2 years ago this month and it seems like yesterday.  His mom and my mom are sisters and my dad and his dad are brothers...., so our families are very close.  He was like the brother I never had.   Anyhow, I've recently started volunteer work for 4 hrs on Thurs. afternoons, at the American Cancer Society.  I just help them out in the office.  It makes me feel like I'm contributing something to the world around me.

Thanks much to all. My sister...it's rough. We've/ I've handled it all well, but when they give you a time frame, it's a whole other thing :(  She had 5% chance 9 years ago! Chemo most of every year for NINE years has kept her here. She has kept an amazing quality of life for going thru all that. We are very close, she is also like my mother. Having lost my other closest friend in 06 to cancer also, it's been quite heavy on the heart. I'd like to note:::::: It is due to a Dr.s mistake that she is where she is!  At 46 he told her it was 'just hemorrhoids, your young" !

Thanks to all of you, many of us know loosing someone, going thru their suffering is so very difficult.

Becoming 'human' again.....is helping a LOT.
An FYI on OUR tx.....thru out her years of surgery, chemo.....I have always helped her. During my tx, she was helping me, I was sicker than her! This tx is brutal, you all WILL get thru it but DO give yourselfs TLC and demand it from hubbies, loved ones! Understand that it IS very hard for many, most and be kind to yourself.

Love and hugs to you all, LL

Great that you're feeling human again!  I keep looking at every bike to see if you're on it!  I'm quite lucky, today i"m 2 months post tx and I'm in Key Largo scuba diving - talk about feeling better!!!  Driving down here from central FL yesterday I saw a ton of bikes - keep looking for ya.

So sad for your sister, hope they are keeping her comfortable.  What a horror.  For me (on that front) I see the surgeon next week - til now all tests (retests) have been clear -but be on the lookout for a pm in a couple of days.  So far so good.

Glad to know that this post tx nightmare does burn itself out at some point - mine is still flaming away at 3 months post. (RA to the max - neuropathy - IBS etc). But better then that first post month like with you.

So sorry about your sis - wow I am so close to mine and her to me - she is always there for me (flew up constantly to take care of me during tx - she lives about 8 hrs away - frisco area). I know how your heart must feel.

I too have not posted much...but am spending more time with my horses - so that's good....Actually was in our little Western days parade today.

Take care and thanks for the updates fellow 2ber

Hugs,

Mikkimoe

Good to hear from you expecially when the last news wasn't so good.  I'm glad to see there is life after treatment.  I was going to forward you a note from another Florida geno 2 who claimed that it took him much longer to recover than he had expected but that he was feeling better now than he had in ages.

I hope that you will only get better and better until you think you're 30 again.  ; )

It's great to hear another success story.  It couldn't have happened to a nicer lady.

Now...... push away from the computer and get your halloween lights put up.
Get your spook on.

best,
Willy

Welcome back.   I am glad to hear that you are feeling well.

I still have insomnia, but in all other area I am feeling better and I continue to improve.

I don't post much any more.  I still have a bad taste from the abuse of the political post.

Take care,
Eric
