Toothaches !!

by Lady Lauri, Mar 05, 2008 11:25PM
Without looking for the past post....(forsee's?)..... there was some on teeth hurting. Past few weeks a couple back teeth 'area's' -not just the tooth, HURT!  Past few days really bad and right now one is killing me, the nerves in cheek beside it, etc. Spent an hour now pressing on the nerves to help.
I have no cavity's, problems (before tx!) with these toothes (kidding:)...what's up with this new pain?
With nothing wrong with the tooth?
Got morphine ????????????

Having had two teeth extracted a week ago, I can tell you a bit about teethaches.<(JK) These tooths, JK, were soo painful, and sooo far gone, from fine, ( less than a year prior), that they had to get gone.  With all the meds, we take for sx from HCV, and for sx of tx, it's a wonder that any of us dry mouthed heppers have any teeth left at all.  'Oasis' Moisturizing spray for your mouth does help alot, to prevent such rapid decline of otherwise healthy teeth.  If you're sure that there's no decay, no abcess (abscess) @ the roots, then you could be grinding your teeth, either at night, or, during any normal average stressed to da max kinda day.  These could be completely without your knowledge. Your DDS may notice unusual wearing of your teeths surface, <<< (a good indicator of tooth grinding). A night guard could help keep you from grinding @ nite, but for daytime stress related clenching; A Muscle relaxer, anti- stress meds, Meditation, holding your mouth slightly open 'Ahhhh' position, (You'll look real stupid, but your jaw may stop hurting). That's all I have to say about that!!  Hugs Lady, from Ant B

good post from Lady L...I just didn't get along with that mouth guard (Scratchy gave me a good site where you can get them for football playing) but I just did a lot of stretching before bed, jaw stretching if you can believe that, the lion as Orphan Hawk said....a yoga position....relaxing exercises, seems the problem is done. But yeah, get your teeth checked out by a dentist.

Don't think I am grinding my teeth ...but no one's been here to tell me:)....of course THAT could be making me grind my teeth now, LOL!

It's an odd pain and now my sis is nervous about the heart as you can get sharp pains in the jaw and I have a lot of irregular heart beats on tx and so on. I'm not thinking that (tho it is true) as it could be the ear too...shoots from ear down side of face. Hurts like hell too!! Don't feel pain in/on any tooths :) tho?? Go for labs in AM, going to ask them, than to dentist. A whole pain pill did nothing (I do 1/2's, I'm a woos!) but I'll take that morphine right about NOW! I'm used to shots :)

4c...forgot the lion :(  Haven't done any on tx ! Should have!
