I will not get a hep c vaccine if the only way to catch the virus(80%) is thu shooting drugs.Just stop shooting drugs and be careful of dirty off denrtists and dirty tatto parlors (this will take care of the other 20%)

Now i will admit hep B may be the vaccine the one to consder getting if you hac sex with a lot of different people, because it it contracted much easy, even by kissing and regular sex,but i dont kiss every one meet at least not right away, and i always use protection.just my believe ,but to me the dangers of pumping mercury and othe perservatives from the vaccines into my body, are not worth the risk to me...just my opinion

Are you kidding me?

So many of us here are in drug trials.  The hope is to find better cures. Help others. (and get free meds)

When you start pasting "unbias" facts about vaccines, you are unwittingly supporting those who don't do their own research and make their own informed decisions, relying only on the "herd protection" of  others around them that have been vaccinated to protect them from catching the very disease they themselves are too scared to be vaccinated against.

It is easy to read stuff and cut and paste, but sometimes when you read this stuff, you have to understand the underlying processes at work to get the full picture.  (and the lives saved, diseases wiped out, ect.)

What is it that we so often speak of here when deciding to tx???? Risk -vs- reward.......sound familiar?

BOOOOOO...now I'm scared.

When there is a vaccine for HepC.....whatcha gonna do????

(for the record....imho, it is scary that this particular vaccine is being rushed thru so quickly, but I stand firm in my belief that it is our responsiblity to fully understand these things and make informed choices.)

Peace out....and SVR to us all =)

What types of material may be deposited in PubMed Central?
As an archive, PMC strives to collect and preserve everything that is published in a participating journal. It has a cover-to-cover digital copy of the early issues of a journal that came into PMC through NLM's digitization program. For more recent material, which a journal must supply in XML or SGML form, PMC accepts any editorial content that can be represented accurately with the NLM Journal Publishing XML DTD or a compatible DTD. In this context, “editorial content” refers to articles and article-like items, including book reviews, news items and obituaries. PMC also accepts journal cover images and accompanying captions.

In general, a participating journal must deposit in PMC the final, published version of an article as it appears on the journal's own web site. However, in the instance where PMC serves as the repository for a funding agency's access program, PMC will accept an author's final, peer reviewed manuscript of an article. See Who may contribute to PubMed Central?

Journals also contain what may be classified loosely as administrative content — editorial board and staff lists, instructions to authors, notices and announcements, and advertisements. At present, such content usually is available only in print or on an HTML page on a journal's web site. Few, if any, journals have it in XML form. We are developing XML tagging guidelines so that the administrative content can be included in the PMC archive as well. In the meantime, PMC will accept certain administrative items, if the journal publishes them in an article form and can provide suitable full-text XML. For example, see the instructions to authors that the Journal of Virology publishes as an article in its first issue of the year.

At this time, PMC will not accept promotional material for pharmaceutical or other products, even if presented in the form of an article.

There's nothing better calculated to instil panic in people than a timely reminder of their own mortality, and every swine flu update I've seen this week has mentioned a growing death count, inevitable casualties and, crucially, the availability of a vaccine for swine flu. But, while demand, lead times and vaccination priorities are all under constant scrutiny, nobody seems to be asking the crucial question: will the swine flu vaccine be safe?

Macrophagic myofasciitis and chronic fatigue syndrome are severely disabling conditions which may be caused by adverse reactions to aluminium-containing adjuvants in vaccines. While a little is known of disease aetiology both conditions are characterised by an aberrant immune response, have a number of prominent symptoms in common and are coincident in many individuals. Herein, we have described a case of vaccine-associated chronic fatigue syndrome and macrophagic myofasciitis in an individual demonstrating aluminium overload. This is the first report linking the latter with either of these two conditions and the possibility is considered that the coincident aluminium overload contributed significantly to the severity of these conditions in this individual. This case has highlighted potential dangers associated with aluminium-containing adjuvants and we have elucidated a possible mechanism whereby vaccination involving aluminium-containing adjuvants could trigger the cascade of immunological events which are associated with autoimmune conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome and macrophagic myofasciitis.

He writes "But let's not forget they are very profitable and their profit is in keeping people sick."

Talk about profit - what do think think Mercola's website is all about?
He is selling over 70 products on his website!
When you post these excerpts you might footnote that the author is pushing his products on the same site where you got the quote.
Is he a snake oil salesman? I don't know but...........maybe.

Vaccines are against natural processes and thwart our body's natural abilities to fight off disease. By suppressing our immunity vaccines actually make more diseases available to our body. Normal diseases enter the body by first contacting our nasal or oral mucosa. White blood cells are then activated to move and respond to those invading pathogens. The white blood cells increase movement in response to chemotaxis and will leave the blood vessels to enter the area where they are needed.
Fortunately, for our sake, the pathogen is inactivated before it ever enters our body. Blocking our immune system in no way makes sense considering the vast numbers of pathogens available today. Vaccinated children suffer more infection, colds ear infections, and rhinitis than unvaccinated children as a likely consequence of vaccinations. Unvaccinated children stand a much better chance at avoiding disease, because their immune system has not been tampered with.
Our fear of disease is heightened in the doctor's office, when skewed statistics are quoted and diseases are seen as our enemies. The reality of life is omitted when nutrition [the only way our body has to boost immunity] is debased and belittled. Herbs are seen as dangerous and any method of health [curing] other than allopathy is attacked. People receive dangerous concoctions our of a fear produced for the sole purpose of selling vaccines. Vaccines go against every ounce of common sense that God gave us. Injection of toxic agents to produce health is not sensible at all. There are many references of vaccines to immune damage, brain damage, cancer, and loss of health, even life. Vaccines are the greatest farce ever placed upon a civilized community. But let's not forget they are very profitable and their profit is in keeping people sick.

Experts expect the flu will pick up activity in the northern hemisphere's autumn and the WHO predicted one third of the world's population -- two billion people -- will eventually be infected.

TOO WIDESPREAD

Governments are taking different approaches to slowing the spread of the virus. Last month, British experts on the spread of disease said closing schools at the first sign of a new pandemic might delay the worst so health officials can prepare, but cannot prevent the spread of the disease.

Writing in the journal Biosecurity and Bioterrorism, Courtney, Dr. D. A. Henderson and colleagues said it appears that the new H1N1 is now too widespread to try to stop.

actually, there is a line of thought that says that the second wave of swine flu could arrive in the fall and be much more virulent than the first - that this has been a pattern of past flu viruses.  I think swine flu is a concern, but since there isn't anything I can do about it one way or the other (other than get flu shots when they are available), I try not to worry about it.  The list of things I can worry about at one time is only so long...

I recently went into hospital ER with, yet another, severe kidney infection. When I came in with 104 temp I was swooshed away to a quarantine room. They immediately did the swine flu test. It's an odd one, you lean your head back they shoot saline into your sinus cavity & suck it back out, both sides. Not a good when when you are nauseous tho! It took 30 minutes to verify I didn't have it and 7 hours to figure out I had a kidney infection!

Upon going into the room, I said "I don't want to be exposed to someone before me" and she assured the room is sterilized between each person. When they moved me, I'd walk by the room and there was a man scouring wall's, chairs, floors for a long time!

Good to know I guess, they are checking.
