Who's still riding..'motor bikes'...kidding :}

  Just joshin ya' Trish..:}....per our previous motor bikes versus cycles, etc.

  I'm riding again :} Not a lot but hadn't in mths.! Since the lowered dose's I've had a few days of riding....felt better than ANY drugs out there! (anyone that rides knows what I mean.) I jumped on one day (snuck out....got biotched out:}. Than another day, than a few hours one day! I have discovered that tho walking may be hard at times...hell....'rolling' is easy...just avoid all the stop lights and you have it made, LOL. Kidding! I do NOT do it unless I feel up to it, tho probably shouldn't at all. To be able to again was so great :} That was only last week, and haven't felt up to it since, but R Glass, Trish, whoevers on tx....you still riding? Stopped? Just curious.

Than snuck out again couple weeks ago...busted again. Than last week finally 'really' rode a few hours as was 'up to it'....at this point those that love me are saying....'so you went to walgreens, huh?"....which took me 2 hours :}  Didn't say WHICH walgreens!

I've been wondering if you folks have been riding as well. Do they make studded snow tires for those scooters? (vbg)...no scooters here, but plenty of snowmobiles running up and down my road!!
Sad to say, I stopped taking the Chantix 4 days after starting, did not combine well with tx drugs....got a very upset tummy...but still am going to try and quit on my date without it....By the way, I think we finish tx at about the same time, I will be drinking green ginger ale on St Patty's day this year, without taking tx drugs!!!...whoa,whoa (g)

any cell phone geeks out there? I'm in need of a new phone...currently with gsm unicel (but looks like verizon may buy them out, and spin off gsm to att) but my question is about gsm/wifi function enabled phones.
How does the wifi work with a cell phone?

I am going to force my self to take a short ride Sunday, just to keep everything broke in and lubricated. I haven’t fired it off in about a month. Hopefully I won’t have to jump it off.

Sometimes it seems we're so busy working to get well that we forget to live. And the reason we're working so hard is so we can live life. I rode during  TX when I felt well enough. Mike

R Glass.....first 11 weeks....wouldn't even think about it! My doses were lowered too and a little better. I think it was more of a 'I HAVE to do something normal" the 1st day I jumped back on for a FEW blocks. I did, however, start it a lot in the garage and sit on it to keep it starting/fluids flowing.
This week is back to not at all :{
P.S. Please don't 'have to jump off' !!

Mike......absolutley right....think we can get so involved in being sick/the cure/the long view and forget about 'today'. It was so good for me to get out there/ride. I just kept going...started getting tired, saying "you really need to go home' and still kept going. Was so nice tho as really thought I'd have to wait until after tx...as per too weak. Like I said...figured out rolling down the road is easy :}

  No snow tires needed...in Fla......still 85!  I like snow :{ But also like riding while your all snowed in, LOL. (Hey, I have to get something out of this bugs and sweat state!)

What day is your last shot? Mine is March 4th. Pattys day I'll have an 'end of tx' celebration ginger ale with you :} THAN ...my 50th birthday is 2 days later!! SVR will be a good present....tho sure wish I could be a wino for my 50th B-day :{.........no alcoholic here, just like a good glass of wine!  Or 2 or 3.....occasionally.......like on my 50th B-day :} You were type 2 and UND at 4 weeks, right? (if I go back to check I loose this post!)

Heard Chantix makes you nausea's so fueling that fire on tx! I truly wish you success on quitting and will be glad to 'let you go' as a fellow nicotine addict buddy :} Such a hard thing for some (like us, NYgirl, others here) to quit. Some do it more easily...than you have us that ...it ain't so easy!

  Whens the quit date ??

Quit date is tomorrow...yikes!! (I'm such a nonconformist, refuse to do it on New Years eve(lol))....Not many leftover vises anymore...;^(.....but I will make sure I get a "very expensive" speeding ticket this Summer in the 911,-- I won't give up all my vises without a fight! (vbg)
----------last shot, March 6th, last riba on the 12th

Lauri...very funny. :)  I knew before I even read your first post what you were referring to...laughed out loud and man, that felt good. :)  Good to see you got out on your "motorcycle"!  As for riding.. my Ninja is parked for the winter because she needs about a grand in repairs that aren't in the budget at the moment.  "The guys" and I are working on it over the winter so that I can be riding come spring.  Hoping I don't lose her completely.

Incidentally, I'm not on tx yet.  Had been aiming for mid January, however switched care options in December from my GI to docs at a teaching hospital in Toronto and I see them next on Jan. 31.  Everything on hold til then so I've been taking a mental break lately so I have the energy to gear up for it all again once it's a definite "go".  Doc knows I'm ready, will have results of his own blood tests and his own examination of my bx results, knows I want to discuss pros and cons of any drug trials I might qualify for....just waiting for that appt to find out when we get this show on the road.  Handling a little HCV bidness in the meantime and I'll see how that pans out.  Makin' a l'il noise....

R Glass .. hope you get out for a ride and that things are going okay with tx.

Mike..guy in my 'hood on his 12th week of tx and he rides still when he's up to it so there ya go .. it can be done, eh?

Pro .. good luck with getting that speeding ticket!  ;->   AND the quit date.

Harry....sorry for your loss.

  Trish ...:}  had to do it, LOL. Hope you get your bike fixed, I have to look up a Ninja so I know what it is when your talking repairs, etc. GOTTA be cheaper than Harley parts!! Think it's what my daughter in law had and I rode it when she 1st had it.Plus...forget you are in Canada (really want to go there one day)so wouldn't be riding & you have a long winter to work on it.

you..."Handling a little HCV bidness in the meantime and I'll see how that pans out.".......
Getting it all covered, you mean?? I do remember your post now about the changes, delay.....which went into our debates on health care :}  Don't know what I'd have done without the PERFECT timing of the trial I am in...just taking the last Geno 2's in it when I got there. I got the standard tx anyway....so all free and no new drug to go thru, be a 'lab rat' for.
  Good luck getting started in Jan.

  Harry.....ouch! Sorry, that hurt's huh? Hope you get one again....you HAVE to :}

Pro......TODAYS THE DAY! GOOD LUCK, STAY STRONG, GOD BLESS........I'm feeling your pain, LOL..YOU CAN DO IT!!  Now talk to me in about 2 weeks when your past the 1st 'wanna kill someone' days , LOL.
  Seriously......I soooooo hope you make it, quit! Than you can coach me thru it after tx :}
You going to get at least nic gum or something??
(and you can afford that speeding ticket if you not buying cigs :} ! Hell....you can afford a new car now!!)
      Hang in there.................................LL

No...not exactly meaning getting it all covered.  Formulating an articulate response to the refusal on the part of the provincial drug plan to cover the balance of the tx drugs and their reason for refusing.  Not based on income at all.  Based on them deciding I don't need treatment in their opinion, because my ALT/AST levels are normal and I'm early grade liver damage.  I'm working on the letter, who gets copied on it (as in which politicians) and doing my research so that I make SURE my information is accurate, lucid and poignant.  And then I'll see what happens with it from there.  I'm not after the coverage approval as my primary goal, although I'd like that outcome too.  I'm after changing the way these decisions are applied.  I have no idea what I'm getting into and that's probably a good thing.  I believe in the principle and that's enough for me.

............I believe in the principle and that's enough for me.......................

  Absolutely.....in everything....the 'drive behind the force'.

  I remember now, someone suggested you drink and drug it up to raise you alt's. slt's, etc. Half jokingly , while half serious as that may have worked!
  Just out of curiosity.....not nosey :}.....and you in Canada, me being in USA......when you say you transferred to a teaching hospital, could it be covered by them, as we can get done here?
  And yeah, really ignorant reasoning for refusal in this disease. Much like here....won't cover 'routine testing (mammograms, colonoscopy, preventative things, yet than absorbs the cost of cancer tx. ??

Even though the temperature was in the mid 70s, I still couldn’t force myself to go. I even noticed my front tire getting low. I was getting depressed having to listen to all the Bikes Thundering by my house when, it hit me. My last payment on my Bike will be in May and my last Treatment will be in May.    ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!
