awwww... ;) I hadn't read your update since you got back. I am so happy for you!
Thanks, I have vacation and sick time, but am near 30 years with the City and can use the accumulated sick time to retire early.
Lately since my hemoglobin was low and certain sx I have been coming in late or taking a day off. But it is never planned, like my trip. I need to get a hold on finding something consistent work hour and off time wise.
Peace and Healt
btw took my guitar and didn't harldly play a lick
Glad to hear your trip turned out so well. I'm sure things will settle down for you soon. Personally I would take some disability from work for awhile, maybe work fewer hours a day, if you have the option. later
It was hard as heck, I know a lot is due to treatment, but just doing it and having faith were the kickers.
Yea definitely Carol will come here, or probably kiddingly she asked when I was moving down there, which I own a house with the bank and I am looking at cheap apts or houses that rent to me and Luke, that would definitely make it easier if I wanted to cut away to Carol, plus the house is too much for Luke and I.
I slept forever last night and Luke left me a puddle this morning, which I stepped in of course, then I had a minor accident. I would have made it to work on time for once, but alas the props of tx sx, maybe Luke is having sympathetic sx.
He did the best he could, couldn't scold him or anything, he's cool.
I can't get over the massive irritability, I save for myself and Luke, the sudden insomnia. Talking with other Drs and patients(one on Lukemia treatment) they said they had several transfusions with my numbers and felt so much better. My chiro says it's stupid about the rescue drugs and transfusions, it is just one doctors choice on the matter. I don't understand completely why I or anybody with decent insurance would have to suffer so much, WTF it is chemo, the stress level and mental attitude is so important to our complete recovery.
I am still crazy irritable and plan on calling the clinic physcicologist today or email.
I am taking a complex natural all around vitamin now as recommended by my family doctor.
Glad you went and found your heart!! I'm sure it was hard as heck but sounds like it was worth it!!!!

Looks like we all LOVE Carol TOO!!!
I can't wait for the next episode - you could make a movie of this one!!
Whoa! A real love story!
I love it and am so happy for you both.
Ok, next time is her turn to drive, lol!!!
Hope your labs improve soon :-)

Goof....No juicy details
Headshop.....she said she has had a smile and a glow at work

I think now we know the answer goof.
headshop, really glad it worked out for you. Best of luck to both of you.

This is exciting, and again I wish you the best!!
Upon reading some post comments on 'driving' while treating... perhaps it is best she travel to see you, at least until the end of treatment. :) We don't want you jeopardizing your safety and I'm certain you would be devastated hurting someone else along the way - from being tired, etc. You made it, and I, for one, (and sure everyone agrees) are relieved! And very happy with your positive report about Carol. I've got a good thing going on, and a romantic and wish you the same... cheers.

I am happy for you two! May the love last forever and be sweet as honey!
God bless!!!
Marcia
I believe i did the journey for 2 reasons, to be with Carol and prove that we were ment for each other, and that through my own petty pride and faith, that I could do it.
I talked to Carol tonight, she said she has had a smile and a glow at work.
We love each other
We like each other
We make each other laugh
We miss each other
This is just the beginning
Peace and Health
btw, it almost killed me, and if my hemoglobin had been down one point today I would of had a transfusion.

As stated in both my comments above, I'm glad you followed your heart, dude!
You've got our interest up... so keep us informed on how this progresses. Really rooting for you!
The 5-hour trip must have been brutal.
If you are planning a trip back and “The Big D.” problem is still an issue, you may want to consider contacting NASA. You may find some on EBay

NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak lifted off from Kennedy Space Center aboard space shuttle Discovery last July 4. Like all shuttle astronauts, she was wearing space diapers -- in NASA speak, Maximum Absorbency Garments, or MAGs.
MAGs don't generally get much attention, but this week they ended up in bizarre headlines after Nowak drove 900 miles from Houston to Orlando wearing her diapers -- according to police, so she wouldn't waste any time at rest stops on her quest to hunt down Colleen Shipman, an employee at an Air Force base near the space center.
Now if I could get back in the groove of dealing with sx in the morning then get to work on time I would be ok, gotta remember how much it takes to give and how long sometimes it takes to have something to give again. Looks like l will be a little late for work today, at least I'll make it if the big d will ever subside.
I'm glad this worked out for you. Even though I came out and said basically .. "are ya nuts???" :) I'm one who's always pushing limits but there was just stuff about this that I just had to throw in an opinion on. You took it very well and even tossed back with humour to my comment on chianti and fava beans...good on you. :) I'm glad that everyone was so understanding with you and that you were treated so well. I've done things on treatment that exhausted the heck out of me but that were also worth it and in the end, only we can decide ourselves and so you did. Again....I'm very glad this worked out well for you. Nice story. :)

Attitude
by
Charles Swindoll
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude to me, is more important than facts. It is more important
than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances,
than failures, than successes, than what people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make
or break a company...a church....a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude
we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change
the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have....and that is
OUR ATTITUDE...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and
90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of out attitude.
Your the best really a trouper enjoyed this true life real novela
and I can see this is how you will get through the trying times of your tx journey you just jump in and do what you want your motivation lives! that is fantastic and a real good inspiration for all of us tied to the house and afraid to just make that move that can make all the difference in our outlook and attitude which seems to be the key to success as much as anything else
big Abrazos so nice to hear your story and read all the posts thereafter
Alright am out of work today, diarrhea, resting, sleeping, really tired, Hep Dr, finally called in my phenegran. I gotta admit I am really wasted, but the trip was worth it.
I did have to take that rest or nap, and listen to my body, or it might of quit talking to me if you know what I mean.
It showed me that we can do things in our state of health, but I would have died of exhaustion if everyone wasn't so understanding and concerned.
I am talking about the concern on this site also,
Thanks everybody
I wish my damn hemoglobin would get right.
Alright dude! Even dangerous schemes look good when they're in the rear-view mirror and were a success. Yes, I think your crazy. May you never recover! This thread is like a novel you can't put down.
So, it is only another six hours to RG's place. Maybe next time, eh?

P.S. GoofyDad - if you are not a writer, you should be. If you are, I want to read your books. That was one messy turtle-head decapitation. LOL!
OMG - I've been so waiting your return!! It (she :-) sounds well worth the monumental effort; glad you're home safe (safer when your hgb is better!!!!).. Get a great rest!
Yayyyy! 'm so happy for you. I was afraid you were taking on too much. Sooo glad it worked out.
Glad you took a chance, Never underestimate these lovely creatures- sounds like you've got a good one too. Take care, and if it worked out this well in the condition you're presently in... well, I'm thinking and hoping it will only get better for you.
Ah, the scent of sweet romance :) ... made me smile ear to ear, too, and made me think of this song...

Glad to hear it was worth the trip!
Hmmm....
No juicy details. Like whether the nurse/girlfriend came equipped to dispense the obligatory ''first-night-together-in-a-swanky-B&B" enema. Gee - this headshop dude plays his cards pretty close to the vest...
Sheesh.....
Glad it all worked out well. Adding a little spring to your step will make the coming months easier.
