any one taking celebrex?

Hi all,

I have Fibro and Osteoarthritis, Of course the big dreaded HEP C. Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.

true,  I was on celebrex for a short time and it did not work for me.  I thought it was making even more edgy and did not help with my muscle & joint pain.  I think just like everything else, it is different for different people.  Good luck & welcome to the forum.

I was actually put on Celebrex by Shands at the University of Florida when I started my second round of treatment.  They did this to help keep my RA in check while I was on treatment.  I was on Celebrex for 15 months (I was on treatment for 18).  The problem with Celebrex is that long term use can be hard on the heart.
