cocconut oil??

cocconut oil??

Should cocconut oil solidify or should it stay liquid, I mean the good stuff.  I have a jar here from Jungle Products, it is extra virgin and cold pressed, "supposedly" certified organic non-gmo.  I bought it along with a product called Wobenzyme, which I have asked about on here but no one must take it.  BTW my cocconut oil is solid not liquid.

Marcia, I also do the sprouts and am going to try the black oil sunflower seeds.  Thanks

My coconut oil is also solid at room temp and that is normal. During the summer on the hottest of days it does liquify. I prefer if solid, especially for skin care. It's not so slick going on.

Here's one link that talks about temps.....

It doesn't matter. It starts liquidifying at 23 degree C. It is just a matter of how you prefer it. I put one jar in a cooler place and another in a hotter place. It is easier to use the liquid for some things. If you want to use it instead of butter on bread, the solid one is more suitable. I take my riba with a spoon of solid VCO and gulp it down with some water. I started feeling nauseous taking the riba with the liquid oil.

Best place i find to keep the oil in a solid state for easy eating in in the medicene cabinet in the washroom..its always cooler in there as opposed to the kitchen...try it...it does work...another trick is to keep it in water....the fridge dont work...it goes rock hard

One jar of 500ml costs 88 DKK, probably a bit cheaper in Sweden. We usually use about 2 jars per month. Now on tx, I use about 2 jars just for swallowing my riba.

Well, certain kind of foods, we also use olive oil to fry.

Solidified coconut oil makes the most wonderful pie crusts---and I use whole wheat flour as well.  yum!

Some pro's and con's. For me, the proof of the pudding is in the testing. Like when I was told I could have as much olive oil as I wanted on a low-fat diet, high carb diet and my cholesterol would stay down. Well, the blood tests told me a different story. On the other hand, adding olive oil to a low carb diet doesn't seem to raise my cholesterol.

If I interpret Jim's post correctly, he means that everyone reacts differently and there are more factors to it, than just the actual oil one consumes. Please correct me Jim, if i misinterpreted it.

I could not agree less.

From what I have researched about oils, I have chosen to use VCO for cooking and extra virgin olive oil mostly raw, but also for some cooking. As some foods just don't taste right with the coconut oil. I also use sesame oil. All is organic, just as all my food, personal products and house hold products. When one looks at oils, one has to not only look if they are saturated or not. Some saturated oils are actually good, it depends on which kind of fatty acids they are made of. Short, medium or long chained fatty acids

I think for me personally, it wouldn't matter, if my fat source was butter, olive oil, coconut oil or whatever.I guess it is because my diet is mainly low fat low carb anyway. That's just the way I've always been eating, since I was a child. Even back in the day, before I turned herbivorous, I only ate lean meats. And I hated butter as a child, I used to put it on bread so thin, that one could hardly see it.

My mother used to get sick from whipped cream, mayo and fatty foods, so she never cooked that kind of food.

I guess everyone's metabolism reacts differently and it also depends on how one has been eating since baby. Just like some get speedy from the riba and others get sleepy.

I'm probably as much a health nut, as Rocker is... And I am also into all those green foods, goji berries, and all sorts of roots and fruit like lucuma, maca, raw cocoa, etc. Most of these I was integrating into my diet and was not having them as supplements. I've been eating so called super foods for years and it has kept me other wise healthy and in shape. I believe on shouldn't over do stuff, though. One should listen to ones body carefully.

I ordered some of that stem enhance, not through Rocker though, before starting tx, but didn't think it would be a good idea to take algae supplements while on tx. I have taken all kinds of algae before and always felt some kind of physical benefits from them. An over all feeling better and more energy. I will try the stemenhance some time after tx, Rock, and let you know if I feel any difference. If I like what it does, I will order it through you, I'd rather you make a little extra money, than someone I don't know.
