I don't know that the cramping would be hep c related. Of course anything is possible, but I think we sometime lump anything not easily explained into the hep c bucket, ya' know?
On the spider veins, it would stand to reason that you'd rather not see then progressing, but I don't think they are a meaningful indicator by themselves. Has this guy had a recent liver panel done? That's a series of blood tests. Billirubin levels, GGT, and albumin are blood levels to watch. Platelest and white blood counts are also good blood tests to monitor. Post them if you have them (olds ones vs new onces would giv a trend) and ask someone to help you interpret them.
Is this dude on treatment? Treatment drugs and dehydration can cause cramping and lower abdominal issues. A banana a day can help.
Myself being in my 5th week of treatment.
From what I understand I'm not the only one suffering these aches and pains and or sickness. If your husband is taking the same poisons as us heppers the sx. can happen. Do recognize that blood work needs to be done on a regular basis to make sure there is no problems. For ex. anemia.
got to watch that hemoglobin level as well as others. There are many others in this forum that have far more experience than me, but I thought I would put my 2 cents in of what I know.
I hope this can help.
ps. If your husband hasn't been to a dr. please see that he gets there.
what a shock it must have been for you to suddenly find out that he has a serious illness. i am sure you will have many questions as you learn more about his condition and you will find much support and comfort here.
i wish the best for you and your husband.
