sorry--- that should have read "foot pain"
about your focosamineot pain; Could be plantar fasciiatis. It helps to wear night splints, never go in flats(even flip flops) or in bare feet. Ice and heat ( rotate). i was diagnosed in Sept 07. Severe pain, in a wheel chair for a while. There seems to be a connection with HCV though none of my docs connected the two. I was just dx July 4th weekend HCV.
Glucosamine and Condroitin (Drinkables Joint Care) has helped many.

Hi. I have also been diagnosed with HCv and currently m in third week of my tx. Before starting the treatment , me too used to have cramps especially in feet and near knee area. Sometime i feel that some has injected a pin in arm or thigh or a sometime when i stodd up after sitting a while, i feel a sudden pain in m anckle that i cant put weight on that foot.I was etxra senastive to sun n heat and i start perspiring very heavily especially in the area of forehead and head that i cant even continue my work because of perspiration coming in my eyes and covery my glassess, moreover i loose temper when i am exposed to sun n heat and my mood used to swing and i came out angry, shouting on others etc etc, I have discussed with my doc and according to him, these may be due to HCV and they will recover after the completion of tx.
However as i am in third week of tx, i still feel cramps under my knee and i am hoping these will recover soon.
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with HCV. I have been getting bad cramps that really feel like shooting pain down one vein in my arm, leg, and foot. Is this normal? Does anyone get something like that or just cramps in the arches of your feet? I also get cramps in my knee.
I've had lots of trouble with cramps in the arches of my feet. Real toe-crossers and the usual massage does not releive them. I think they're from the anemia. Eventually you can walk them off but its really painful for the first few steps. If you get these, try a heating pad, it helps a bit. Good luck.

Ps. I still have pains --- but they aren't as bad this month... Maybe there is hope.
BC21...
I had a massive bad case of Plantar Faciitis.
The more research I am doing --- I am thinking --- that my tendons were going bad --- I was taking a dose of fluorquinalones (TEQUIN) when I snapped my left tendon in my heel to toes area.
Talk about OWIE --- for weeks....
then prior to TX --- I had amazingly horrible charlie cramping from toes to heel in both feet.
Mostly the HEEL felt so super bruised for a long time.
I think --- HCV --- and especially the combination of HCV and some other medications may very well cause tendon, connective tissue and bone/musculature problems.
Much luck to figuring it out.
i am sorry i just saw your reply do the joints in feet hurt?
i had major foot painprior to treatment.. arch ache all the timenow feet dont hurt just joints
We tend to get all kinds of pain with hcv.
As time goes on, they tend to worsen.
You don't mention if you are on treatment or not.
Some people get pain from the treatment (tx) while others,
like myself, have less pain while on tx.
