my gf is breaking up with me because i have hep b

by JLZhang, Mar 11, 2009 09:45AM
i was born with hep b and i told my gf about it when we first dated, and she has been fine with it. But she recently told her parents about it, and they were really mad about it. they said there is no way that they would agree for us to be together.

i was going to propose to her next month and now she said she couldn't take the pressure from her parents no more...and she wanted to end the relationship!

what should i do? i feel like killing myself....

Sometimes a person will quite a relationship citing a reason that is not valid but a cover for another reason. She may be just using that as a reason to make it seem you are responsible for her breaking up with you. Hep B isn't really a big deal. Most people clear it. Most people these days are vaccinated for hep B. Do you have active hep b or did you clear it and have antibodies? Their is a difference.....It is easy to get emotional and feel like killing yourself but in the end you are the loser. Your bigger than this. Don't let a girl derail your life. The pain is often overwhelming. But once time has healed you. You can love again. Love and heart breaks are just a part of living. Use this as a learn experience. People often forget how rare and beautiful life really is. Even the worst parts of life are worth living.

Let her go man. You're not losing as much as you think. I had one do that years ago and she later called back to tell me she was getting married and hoped I would be happy for her. I was happy, at least it wasn't me! It made me more determined to Tx.

She could of very easily of gotten the Hep B vaccine. Instead she chooses to break up with you. Good riddance...get rid of her. Since when has anyone in LOVE listened to their  parents. Get rid of her ...through her to the curb.

You were honest and she is a wimpy fing liar!!  If you have a chance listen to the Ben Kweller song "Fight".  I agree 1000 times over with scratchinghead and the others.  I can certainly relate to the pain of breakups but you must take care of yourself and not let her control or ruin your life.  She is not worth a pot to  p*** in.  Jen

She can just get the vaccine if she loves you.  You deserve better!
