new treatment

my husband is getting ready to start treatment. what should we expect?

can someone please tell me what to expect at the begining of treatment? my husband is getting ready to start. and how much does the medication cost our insurance is only covering the pills not the shots.???

Sorry no one has responded.  My husband just took his second shot. Everyone is different on tx.  Expect flu like symptoms when he takes the shots.  My husband had a fever and was achy.  He just happened to get the stomach virus the first night he took his shot so it was pretty bad for him.  But, I'm not expecting that this shot night.  If you read the archives you'll learn alot about Hep C.  Most people can work, others can't. It just depends on how the person reacts to treatment.  You can get the meds from Commitment to Care.  My hus. got his there for free.  They'll ask you questions and let you know. Real simple. I just finished 48 weeks. It is alot like a hangover or bad flu. He'll also loose his appetite, get dry skin, dizziness, hard time thinkin, anger quick, be depressed ( may need meds) it was bad and at the beginning I laughed at depression , not me... but it got me good.
I could not work I have a physical job running large printing presses, and the low hgb disallowed me any activity even a short walk.
Sometimes I need help showering I loose my breath easy, thats probably the worst thing for me the rest is just like being sick, besides the depression.
