We are moving in this afternoon, so how about dinner one day next week?  We are going away for the weekend, returning late Monday.

I am not sure how to exchange contact information; I have never done that on a public forum.

I meant to tell you something meki, i found out something interesting yesterday....my sister, who lives in anchorage, has a friend who is on the transplant list in CA (lives in Anchorage), dont' ask me how all THAT works.

Anyway, my sister, who works for the VA, has been fairly closed mouthed and worried about my illness and has arranged for everyone to come here to vegas for christmas.  My sister, dearest girl, is obviously putting me in the same boat as her friend on the transplant list....i just realized this.

i think it's time to have a talk with sissy about this. Poor thing.

I think it's just great you guys will be here I wish I could meet more people from the forum - what a wonderful exciting thing I have to look forward to now in the midst of all the garbage of the last few weeks.  It truly is a blessing! :)

Just had a post card from cousin Bill in Anchorage.  He just returned from holding trials in Dillingham.  I want to visit him after I complete the treatment; probably next summer.  I hope I can get to meet you as well.

I have just caught up on reading and my god, oh my god, I am so sorry to hear about your husband.  I can just imagine how abrumpt that was for you and your family.  You do have to remember that with you son, you gave him the chance to be with his father for that time span and that is something no one can erase.  You are a very strong woman as most here know already.  You do deserve some peace for awhile though.  Be proud of yourself for being there and allowing them to enjoy things again.  I think you said it had been quite some time since he remembers being with his dad.  Feel good about that, as you should.  It is now time for you to get some calm and enjoy the day to day things life has to bring.  
I know what you mean about being able to meet more people from this forum.  It is like one big happy family here.

One choice for dinner is to meet us at our yacht club in Westport and we can have a casual barbecue there. This is definitely NOT fancy: jeans and sweatshirt for the dress code.  Great views of Long Island Sound, but we don't get waited on.  We have to cook it ourselves, but Mafalda and I will do that if it suits your fancy.

Otherwise, we are very flexible and love all types of food.  I know there are plenty of good restaurants in Stamford.  The main thing is to say hello and meet face to face after reading so many posts.  The place we eat is secondary to that.
