My mom is taking Lyrica for her neuropathy. It seems to have given her relief. Before starting Lyrica  she was in horrible pain. She still has a some pain, but it's much better.

She was also told to monitor her blood sugar and try to keep it level.
I have to keep reminding her of what not to eat starches as they turn to sugar in the body. She also likes her cookies.

I have back pain and have just started Neurontin. Will probably have to wait a few weeks to judge its effectiveness.

Yesterday, my friend's dad who is a doctor, told me about a new medicine
that is being used  to treat neuropathy. Unfortunately, it's very costly (about 300 $ a month.)  When I find my notes on it I'll share the name with you.

Hang in there. I found out I had Hep C while trying to relieve pain a few years. It was five years ago. It was really, really stressful. Every pain I got I thought was Hep C.  Of course that was just  me letting my thoughts run wild.

I did clear the virus this year with the recent medications that worked. I had previously treated three times. Just keep marching. You can get though this. Meds have improved greatly and new meds that are even better are
comings along soon.

Hey there lady! I am really so sorry about your husbands pain.  Not being able to sleep is awful and depressing.

I took something called Neurontin for my leg pain during my first tx, it seemed to help me quite a bit.  It is prescribed for neuropathy. It also made me a little drowsy so I was able to sleep.

I think I mentioned before that I started with B-12 injections and they helped my leg pain from neuropathy a lot.  Now using the sublingual which seems to be working.
Is he monitoring his sugar? I find that if my sugar is elevated the neuropathy in the bottom of my feet starts to come back/get worse, sorry can not think of the word, I need coffee ha ha

I will try to look for more information and come back

Take care
Dee
