"Doing the happy dance in the red shoes is the ultimate forum congratulations."
I think we could expand on that. I'm just sayin...
The red shoe thing is about celebrations for forum members who complete treatment, go UND, achieve SVR and/or reach other milestones on the treatment journey. It began with a discussion of what to wear for New Year's Eve (sensible snow boots or sexy red shoes) and it devolved into a metaphor - doing the congratulatory "happy dance" in red shoes. Red shoes, to some of us, are an icon for treatment successes! Doing the happy dance in the red shoes is the ultimate forum congratulations.

I realize I'm just a non-hip, Mid West, old white dude, so excuce me for asking. But whats up with the shoe thing. Marcia 2202 once had up a picture of her radiant face with a beutiful smile now she has a picture of what I guess are her feet with red shoes.
As far as the recipe I think I'll stay with chilli
Alternate spellings are pickle lilly and picklelilly. As for thickening, try corn starch. (I can't believe I just posted this)
Cool! It sounds really good, and I’ve never really had anything like that. My tomatoes didn’t do much this year, and we didn’t get blight like you did back there. They produced *some* fruit, but never really got going like they should have. Good luck- let me know how it comes out—
Bill
Bill, piccallily can be a relish type canned good but I want to ma ke the stuff that you would put on a plate to go with a sandwich or in a bowl to snack on. I might have spelled it wrong. It can be made with any and all the garden leftovers.
My tomatoes got the late blight and I picked all the green ones so I figured I would use green tomatoes, cauliflower, cukes, zukes, cabbage, onions, and a few hot peppers. I want a thicker "juice" that can be dipped in bread. Wish me luck it is my first try LOL
It must be a back east thing… I’ve never heard of picalli? I’ve had chutney before, but it was a heavily spiced mango/pineapple/fruity thing that was good to accompany curried dishes. So what the heck is picalli?
I have been googling my arse off. I am finding some recipes that have flour in the juice / sauce. gonna have to go with one of those, I have a few days so maybe I will get a great recipe on here.
I'm gonna have to buy a bushel of tomatoes to make my sauce for the winter.
I have the same question for piccalli anyway, I knew someone who made it and it had cloves in it, it was so good, lots of tomatoes of course, I thought it made a great spaghetti sauce, of course I think just about anything makes a great spaghetti sauce, cuz I love pasta.
Good Luck and thanks for the link
I google everything...sometimes I get up in the middle of the night to find answers to my endless questions!
Here's a website with a lot of piccalli recipes...I always thought it was piccadilly.
