I'm in week 42 and haven't lost a pound. There may have been a week or two in the beginning where I dropped some weight but for the long haul, I've stayed at my usual weight.

I think many people on tx do lose weight, though.

I'm not sure how common it is to gain weight during tx but many members seem to pack on a few pounds after tx.

I'm in week 27 and I have not lost a pound.  I started TX at 119 pounds and I'm still 119 pounds today.  I did NOT want to lose weight so, in the beginning when I was especially nauseous, I drank Boost (like Ensure) in addition to my little meals to make sure I was getting enough calories.  If I had not paid attention to my caloric intake, I probably would have lost weight in the beginning.  Now, my appetite is fairly good so I don't monitor it as much and I'm still holding.

My doc's NP told me to expect to lose 10-15 pounds on TX.

I just wanted to let you know I did 72 weeks and have been cured OVER TWO YEARS.  It is long and hard but totally worth it!

I couldn't afford to lose weight either but I sure did...I lost about 15 pounds the first few months then my thyroid went bonkers and while at first I lost (when it was hyperthyroid) it then went hypo and I gainned it all back PLUS. Odd for me who weighed the same thing for all of my life and gave up cheeseburgers and starved myself and now I CANT lose a pound living on yogurt.  :(

So don't feel bad - some do, some don't and some do BOTH!   ;)

Everybody is different indeed.

I am on week 74, this is the third time I have treated, this time on infergen.

I always loose weight, it is a struggle to keep it on for me. I will be finished 30  May.  But it is even when I am not on tx.

Best of luck!

23 weeks and no weight loss.

I've starting cuting my intake because I think was overeating.

I would like to loose about 12lbs. which is about what I gained since starting tx.

I'm so glad to see this because I lost no weight either.  Didn't gain until post tx.  I'm firming up, but still not losing.

I too didn't lose weight on tx.  I was hoping I would drop 10 to 20 lbs but no such luck.  I managed to maintain my weight and am over 1 yr post tx now and still trying to lose weight.  I began AD's after TX (PAXIL) and started to experience weight gain.  After a yr on the Paxil I weened myself off and am off of it now.  Still battling the weight.

Everyone is different...

Good luck to you in your tx!
