Autoimmune Hepatitis

My father has just been diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis.  The liver biopsy revealed that there was not significant liver damage.
I am wondering more about the disease as I had never heard of if before and how it can be treated.  As well, can this disease be controlled?
