Chronic itching

  My mother-in-law is 63 yrs old. She had Hep A as a child. She has been suffering from chronic itching for the past 15 months. All of this started after receiving a flu vaccination. ( I am an RN)
  She has had elevated liver function tests in the past. I am wondering if she could be infected with Hep C and this itching a manifestation of the disease. She does appear to be slightly jaundiced. She has a history of COPD, arthritis, depression and aspirin abuse.
  She is taking multiple medications, many for depression.
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
