I recently had a Hepatitis Panel done as suggested.  Here were the results typed as they appear on the lab sheet:
Hepatitis Panel w/Reflex
Ha Ab, Total w/Rfx to IgM                              DL
HA Ab, Total                Positive *      Negative
HBSAg/Ab+HBC                                           DL
  HB s Ag       Negative                      Negative
  HB c Ab       Negative                      Negative
HB s Ab, Qual Negative                      Negative
  HCV Ab        Negative                      Negative
-----------------------------------------------------------------
  HA Ab IgM     Negative                      Negative
-----------------------------------------------------------------I also requested another liver panel
Tot Bili  0.9
Dir Bili  0.1
Ind Bili  0.8
Alk Phos  70
AST       26
ALT       40
GGT       34
LD        126
Choles    202
Questions:
What does the Hep panel (positive) mean?  (Note, I was vaccinated against Hep A, 2 years ago)
I'm still experiencing aches in upper left, middle, and predominately right quadrant area. Can someone have sustained irreversable liver damage (from alcohol) and still see liver panels in the Normal range as seen above.
Your reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
