My husband has hep c end stage liver, decompensated with cirrhosis ,ascites, encephalopathy etcetc.
Now he is having severe rt qudrant pain....shows gall stones on ultrasound. Spent 4 hrs doing scans with isotopes and gall bladder difficult to visualize.
Question----did  the damage to the liver cause the gallbladder problems, did the gall bladder cause any of the liver damage, and what is the prognosis if there is an actual blockage from whatever reason (his platelets have been running around barely 40,000)????
thank you
