HCV and Type 2 DM

I've been gently bewildered on the subject of hcv and its relationship to type 2 Diabetes. I have always understood that HCV can cause 'blood sugar abnormalities'.  Now that I am svr and expect to have fibrosis improvement (bx revealed 'early cirrhosis', is there an expectation that the healing of the liver can, in itself, cause an improvement in blood sugar conditions?  I am currently taking metformin, trying to diet watch, fairly active, not overwight.

Yes you can expect some improvement in the diabetes now you no longer have HCV. However you still need to diet exercise and keep taking the metformin. Congrats on the cure! DTD
