Subject: R.U.Q. pain

Forum: The Hepatitis Forum

I've had pain in right upper Quadrant for over 8 yrs.It started while being a heavy drinker and became worse when i drank .It subsided when i stopped drinking but would start again after drinking.Eventually the pain was constant whether i drank or not.I haven't drank for almost two yrs, but still have the pain which is quite intense at times.I've had all the tests except liver biopsy.Gall bladder test revealed a slowly emptying gall bladder. This pain while usually centered at gall bladder location is also felt under rib cage on right mostly but also on right under rib cage.My doctor is stymied at this point.Do you have any ideas or comments. All liver tests showed no problems with liver.Thankyou
