I need help!  I am disabled and on Medicare.  I have been recently diagnosed with HCV.  I live in a very small community in Va and free health care is not accessible to me.  Can anyone tell me how to get free medical care for the treatment of HCV with the drug combo of Interferon and Rebatron that my Gastrologist prescribed?

Schering Plough (manufacturer of Rebetron (combination of Intron-A [Interferon] and Ribavirin) has an assistance program called Commitment to Care. It was originally to assist in the cost of Intron-A, but I think (not certain) they've expanded the program to include Rebetron. You can call them to see if they might be able to help. The number is 1-800-521-7157. Good luck.

If you can get in a clinical trial with a doctor in your area, sometimes
you can get treatment free. Good Luck
