After non responding to a year of Rebatron therapy,
I've recently been diagnosed with "severe osteoporosis",
my bone density is 44% lower than it should be for a 52 year old
male. I'm seeing an endocrinologist in a week and am wondering
if any one is aware of other cases where osteoporosis and HCV
or its treatments might be related.

I also have severe Osteoporosis. I took Interferon for 4 months in 1992. I only have 8 percent in my lower lumbar,..and 47 percent in my hip. I'm only 48. I've been on Harmone Replacement therapy ever since my Hysterectomy. My calcium levels are normal high range. I read an article about a study where they are seeing this after Interferon Treatment. The Doctor I just saw at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minn. said he was aware of the study. I'm looking for it. If you would like to e-mail me,..it is ***@**** I'm very interested in this.
