Is any one out there in stage 4 cirrhosis? Should you be on the liver tranplant list at that stage?

It is my understanding (I have read and been told by MD) that cirrhosis is considered stage 4 - the final level of fibrosis.  A person with early cirrhosis (myself) can by asympomatic - I am - and be quite healthy for many years.  Apparently hep c induced cirrhosis progresses much more slowly than other kinds. A person goes on the transplant list when signs of decompensation show and those signs are quite obvious (ascites, varices, encephalopathy, etc.   All of this is quite confusing to the uninitiated.  You will receive a kind and informative response from Dr. D.M.
