post treatment 12 week lab confusion

I really want to thank you for answering my last post and I really hate to take up more time. I was diagnosed in 1994.  I waited 14 long years to treat this disease, probably why I'm so anxious.  I specifically asked my doctor and he said yes that the Qualitive TMA does show "active virus", but because the Quant TMA could not detect viral load it was good news..  I'm just having a hard time wrapping my mind around the "detected" for active virus on Qualitive TMA, I am aware that I will always test positive for hcv antibodies,    Can someone test "detected" for active virus on a Qual TMA and still be considered "non-detected" and successful heading for SVR  because of the results of the "non detected" Quant TMA?   First time the doctor told me "bad news" it's back, then calls the next week with the "good news" no viral load.   Sorry to be such a pain about this.   I want to be hopeful but realistic about my chances of SVR. I really want to believe it's good news, that I'm still "non-dectected" so maybe some of my anxiety will lessen.  I'm being treated for thyroidistis brought on by the treatment, I'm sure that also is adding to my anxiety. Roller coaster ride!   Thanks again for your time.  I'm glad your here.  Julie
