Diastasis Recti w/ umbilicle hernia

Anyone else?  Mine hurts!  Especially when I wear a bra.  I usually have to take it off.  I buy a lot of blousy shirts:(  Wish I could afford to get it fixed.  I don't have insurance. Although from my understanding, the insurance cos. consider it to be cosmetic surgery (tummy tuck) so i hear they don't cover it most of the time anyway.  And that doesn't make a bit of sense to me.  I may end up with a flatter stomach because my muscles are sewn back together  but who cares how flat your stomach is if you have a scar from stem to stern?!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. But the hernia will need to be repaired to avoid complications such as strangulation of bowel. Also, the surgery will involve only pushing back the contents into the abdomen and correcting the defect or opening.
