I had the Nissen wrap 2 years ago while the surgeon was working on my hernia close to my esophagus and have had a lot of problems ever since. He hit the Vagus Nerve and that cause gastroparesis (spelled wrong). This causes very slow digestion of foods (sometimes 3-4 hrs each meal). The surgeon will not admit the problem but your gastrologist will agree. Most will tell you NOT to have that (Nissen wrap) done.
I'm sorry but you will always have the problem.
I tried the Botox inside my stomack and it seemed to help for about 9 months.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, are you passing stools or flatus? if so then there is unlikely to be a bowel obstruction. Try clear liquids first like clear soups and then shift to soft solid diet and finally to normal diet. Dont force yourself, and shift to oil free diet. Also, exercise, move about frequently this will promote bowel movements. And check to see if any of the medications you are using is causing the nausea. Regards.
