left congenital hernia

I am 31 years old and had my operation with congenital hernia last 2011 but still my operation was quite painful whenever i does physical activities. Is it normal?

Thank you so much, my hernia is located on the left side and yes the left side foot feels swelling sometimes and  when I'm  stress from long walking activities it made me observe that it feels like it reoccur.  I think I need to consult the doctor .  Thank you so much.

Where was the hernia? Was the postoperative period uneventful? Do you have any swelling now? The postoperative scar can give some amount of discomfort on stretching. Also, the fibrosis after surgery can cause the discomfort. But if there is a swelling or  a bulge, you need to consult your doctor to rule out an infection or a recurrence or hernia.
