2000 mg a day for 15 days and can't suppress

Was either re-exposed a second time or am having an outbreak that will not go away after 15 days of 2000mg a day of Valacyclovir.
What could be happening?
Thanks

first off I recommend getting a type specific herpes igg blood test to confirm your status.  Time to get your infection documented and get a provider who will prescribe daily suppressive therapy for you regularly so that you can deal with your status properly.  Since you were never properly tested prior to this, no way to know if indeed you had hsv2 prior to this or if you had hsv1 genitally and now have contracted hsv2 on top of it.

I also recommend going to be seen. just pain and no active lesions means it's more likely something else going on. if this is sciatica causing your symptoms, all the valtrex in the world isn't going to make a difference.

Honestly, I am self diagnosed.  I have had HSV2 for 15 year, I know I do.... I just know.  I don't mean to sound ignorant or arrogant,...but it's my 45 year old body that I have lived with forever.  I know it.  Anyway, With 2000mg a day of Valacyclovir rushing through my system I have no soares.  But have some nerve pain and burning and sourness throughout one side of my private parts, and down my inner leg.  The leg area is brand new for me.  The other area is not, but never has it continued so long (with or without medication) as it has now.

For most of my life I got Valtrex from a long time on and off again girl friend. We believe we contracted it together. She got diagnosed and would get the prescription and then split it with me.

About 2 years ago she left to a foreign county so I could no longer take Valtrex as a treatment.  I am have been very vehamint about not getting tested because I believe you get put into a database.

The Valtrex I have now is really a hassle to get, I have to go to the dr or clinic and tell them I sometimes get cold sores and have found valtrex works well in keeping them away, could you write me a prescription,

So that is the situation now, but before I was able to find a few doctors that would write the RX (had to shop around a few)...which is crazy...what do they think, I am going to overdose on Valtrex?  No One asks for this drug unless they need it...it doesnt make you high or anything  no reason but for Herpes.  But anyway it took some time without going through blood test and durung this time I then I had sex with a partner who was HSV2 as well and after about a week I was in horrible pain,,,, all the symptoms 10 fold.
Is it possible that valacyclovir is not working to suppress?  And is it possible to take a higher dose as a shot intraveniusly that will gaurantee to suppress it?
