4 outbreaks a month

4 outbreaks a month

Hi,

I don't know where to start, I have tried zovirax, valtrex, and famvir, episodically and suppresively.  I am currently resistant to zovirax, and valtrex.  I have tried famvir at 1500mg per day for suppresive therapy.  The famvir keeps the outbreaks small but does nothing to prevent reoccurance.  I take lysine, which doesn't seem to help at all.  I have been to ID specialists, and nobody seems to be able to make this stop.  I have had the disease over three years, and it has gotten progressively more frequent.  I am otherwise in good health, eat pretty well, excersize and get enough rest.  I don't even drink alcohol anymore.  I am in the process of keeping a food journal.  I was taking fish oil and vitamins, don't know if fish oil is causing this?  I've eliminated dairy from my diet at the request of an accupuncurist that I see.  That doesn't seem to help either.  I don't what else to do.  I saw Dr. Cedric Spak in Dallas, I have relocated to NYC, but have still not found a good doc.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This has been a living hell that I can't bear much more of!!
