I have a lengthy issue need medical subject matter expert to help rule this out!
Symptoms came from one girl who is unknown.
Her noticeable issues was odor from her genital region 5 min into intercourse unprotected.
Rash on penis developed within 24 hours with slight inflammation.
rash has remained constant for 1.5 years now and definition of rash is just simply a red mark on left gland of penis.
26 year old healthy fit male caucasian no history of skin diseases.
STD panel IGG specific negative except chlamydia after treated one week later cured test cure 10 days after one time dose of meds unsure the name.
Red mark still non changing
Burning urination still exists go to doc ask about urethritis gives meds helps 2-3 weeks later tingling and burning comes back but now more so after urination.
Test for everything again at 12-16 weeks negative across the board (prior to taking blood for second test they started me on acyclovir) 5 days later stop acyclovir not helping symptoms and test negative
Derm said skin looks liek psoriasis cream didnt help with any of my symptoms
6 months after exposure I develop MC in my pubic area 3 months later cured on its own
After MC started dating for the first time since this incident ocurred
All symptoms are still ongoing and currently taking valtrex. Wife has not developed symptoms and her tests were all negative.
My questions
1. Does this sound like herpetic urethritis?
2. If so chances of passing it to my unborn child?
3. I'm on 2000MG a day of valtrex and have been for 5 days with symptoms still going what do I do?
Any idea as to what this is and I will not do the what if game?

I can't say what this is but I can say what it is not. Herpes does not present as a constant red spot on the glans penis. Herpes presents as intermittent blistery sores in the genital area. You have tested negative for herpes antibody over time. I'm not sure why someone is treating you for herpes when you have negative tests and symptoms inconsistent with herpes. How long altogether have you taken the Valtrex, in this year and a half time period?

OK, now I understand what you are asking. Yes, a person who has HSV 1 infection will take a big longer to make HSV 2 antibody. But for you, that was over a year ago! When we are talking about the delay in making antibody, we are talking about a few weeks, not years!

The question about double negative was in regards to the two negative hsv 2 tests I had taken. Given since I'm positive for hsv 1 would that take the antibodies longer to show up ?

Yes ma'am in a sense I sometimes feel I do get carried away. I usually wouldn't worry about this non sense as it's not a big deal but since there is going to be a child evolved soon I can't help myself if I cause something to go wrong after all I have been through that would be the end of my rope so yes concerned very concerned however... I would drop the idea already if my damn doctors would stop trying to give me a test for cure everytime I switch docs cause I'm in the military so it happens ofter or once every year. My symptoms are still here after taking 7 days of valtrex 1000 mg 2 times a day. Tingling itching burning after ejaculation mild and still here. I want to move onto something else get test done see a urologist but no the doc wants me to do these little steps first and it's upsetting. I personally do not feel I have it as this is almost constant over a year now with it setting down a little here and there but mainly always being there for as long as I can remember. If they would stop putting the idea in my head I would be ok. Last thing I got is I told my doctor if he was going to out me on meds for herpes freaking test me for it first he said no cause he is almost certain I have cause he is going under the assumption I somehow missed my primary OB and now am just having the recurrent herpetic urethritis. Sorry for the rant but you can see why I worry and get frustrated.

One night stand occurred prior to my marriage but happened august 2012 test was ran October and again end of December. Both negative hsv 2 and positive hsv 1.
My wife was tracking all this prior to us getting intimate and serious as I said if I can help it I don't want to spread this even at the sake of my dignity and self respect.

You can't be what we call double negative if you are positive for HSV 1. Perhaps you mean what is the chance you will be negative again for HSV 2 when you test again? Right now, there is a 70% chance that you will stay that way if you restest again.
2. Out of your experience with Herpes how often have you ever seen someone have symtoms close to mine and have herpes OB only in the urethra?
Extremely rarely.

When will she have symptoms? Of herpes? Probably never because I doubt that you have herpes. If you are truly concerned about this, then I would recommend that you discuss this with her and have her get an antibody test to determine if she is infected or not.

I apologize for forgetting to post my results and saying I was negative completely for HSV I was tired when I wrote the question as I'm in Germany now. My fault.
BTW thank you for your response and out of respect for you I will not play the what if game. I am going to get tested again to triple check.

I ask because I know if you practice safe sex with your partner it cuts down the risk but we did not use protection ever, clearly, but as often as I would ask her if she was experiencing anything outta the norm she would say nope and move on. I explained the risk when we got together I never hid anything and I even told her despite testing negative twice there is the possiblity that they were false negatives and I could still have it; with no concern we continued our regular routine. I do not want to be someone who gives this to people; which is my concern, cause prior to our relationship there was my ex that I slept with and she has never developed any symptoms which is a void point but also tested negative. I am just confused cause I know that somewhere in this year and a half someone should have devolped something.
I can tell you I have never been cultured due to lack of anything to culture so I'm not sure what else I can do to get this taken care of and put my mind at ease, minus you doing so as you have already done some and thank you for that can't thank you enough.

January I started acyclovir for 4-5 days symptoms did not change they stopped it. Now I'm on valtrex have been for 6 days. My symptoms were easing prior to caltrex and now the symptoms that are minor are the tingling after ejaculation and urination but are still minor as well as itchiness. I have never had any blisters in my genital region and there has not been one day I haven't looked since this started from day one. But in lke 3% they only get it in the urethra with no other symptoms so I have no clue and I'm concerned a little but not as much as I used to. Just concerned really.
