Hi grace,

Please clarify my doubts:
1. when can we expect AIC316 available in the market? is it a treatment for both hsv 1& 2 or only for hsv 2?
2. How is it going to be better than valtrex?
3. When can we expect a cure for hsv 1& 2? 10 or 20 years?
4. Do we have any  positive surprise from the medical community for herpes cure?

it's only completed phase 2 trials so far. at least 5 more years if not more until we see it, if phase 3 trials show that it's as effective as they think it is.

why will it be better than valtrex? well as far as I've read so far, it'll mean less pills to take.  It will be very expensive initially :(

I don't know if they are testing it on hsv1 , as far as I know, just hsv2. I don't think they've published their findings yet in a journal, just made an announcement on phase 2 results at a conference this past summer.

I don't expect a cure for herpes any time soon to be honest. we don't have a cure for any viruses yet.
