All the symptoms no blisters

For about the past 6 months I have been getting all the symptoms for genital herpes: tingling, burning, pain in the suprapubic area, thighs, knees and hips.Feels like my lymph nodes are swollen. On and off every couple of days to weeks.

My doctor doesnt reccomend me getting the blood tests as he says a false negative will make my anxiety over this issue worse- as he thinks this is all an anxiety issue as has reccomended me to see a psychologist. I have gotten every single little ingrown hair, bottom, and small tear swabbed and they all come back negative.

I have a ingunial hernia which my doctor thinks may be causing some tingeling sensations.

My ex boyfriend had cold sores - so there is a risk he could have transmitted to me during oral sex,

What do you think the chances are these symptoms I have is herpes with no blisters?

these are not herpes symptoms.  you would've been having obvious lesions with these if they were remotely related.  you should be sexually responsible though and seek out type specific herpes igg blood tests in between partners to know what your status is.   if you are a gay male, the rates of herpes infections are fairly high and since hsv2 increases your risk of acquiring hiv, very important to know your status.

do you need a shrink at this point for this? only if anxiety is consuming you. these are real symptoms and if your regular provider is stumped, perhaps a rheumatologist would be a good idea at this point.

why haven't you gotten your hernia repaired?

you wouldn't have these symptoms the way you are if they were due to herpes. you also would have obvious lesions with them which you are not. you can read online info that will make you think a sore toe is due to herpes dear  :(

not likely your hsv1 would be genital and causing these symptoms.   hsv1 genitally tends to present with very obvious and painful lesions that most people don't miss.

you have identified yourself as male on the icon hence why I assumed you were male. you can change that to female to make it less confusing.

see a rheumatologist at this point.

Im confused as to why you think these are not herpes symptoms? Tingeling, burning, sore hips, knees, thighs, bottom are all listed on multiple sources?

What confuses me most is this stat 80% of people dont even know they have herpes because they have such mild symptoms- soo couldn't what I am experiencing be these 'mild symptoms'?

If my blood test came back with a positive for type 1 that still wont give me any answers- i could have contracted type one as a kid as many do, or i could have contracted it genitally through oral sex.. so unless i get a positive swab how will a blood test prove what is going on?

I am not a gay male by the way haha straight female. Thankyou so much for your advice, I know I sound crazy but this is what this has done to me thinking about this non stop for 6 months. :/

I'd look into the blood test. There are website where they sell you a blood test order and it is full-filled at a clinic. I trust Labcorp, go with a website affiliated with them. Take the test 3 moths after contact to be sure and not get a false positive. If you've been swabbed though, I think you are okay. But I understand how important that piece of mind is.
