Are these symptoms of genital Herpes? Please help!

I had gotten a STD test panel done on may 30th and again on july 7th.  Both times everything came back Negative besides Type 1 Herpes

May 30th test results:

HS1 IgG Type Spec, 49.80 HIGH

Negative 1.09

July 7th test results:

still only type 1 herpes came back positive everything else negative

this time the number went from 48.90 to 58.80.  Does this number mean anything?

I had protected sex in mid may, i got oral sex without a condom could i have gotten genital herpes from that?  I have seen doctors who have said they don't see genital herpes sign(and 2 of my doctors said if it was genital herpes it would be very easy to tell by looking)

here are my symptoms, i have had these since i had sex in mid may.  Maybe its just in my head.  I was told by a dermatologist that its a jock itch/maybe yeast infection or fungus of some sort that is causing most of these issues.  He also checked for crabs/scabies

burning sensation that rotates between my inner thighs, penis, butt, or anywhere in the general groin area.  There are no visible sores or anything like that and the burning pain seems to come on when I sit down, but not necessarily.  It doesn't burn to pee but afterwards it does just a tiny bit.  

My groin area constantly feels "clammy" and sticky, much like you might feel after a long run. My genitals are constantly itchy in various places on my penis, testicles and pubic area. When I sit down, I experience a burning / prickling feeling in my groin, buttocks and thighs. The feeling is constant but is not generally felt when standing up or lying down. Minimal alleviation from the burning feeling is gained if I sit on a donut shaped cushion, but it does not help much. I also experience sharp stabbing pains in my penis from time to time, which was in fact the very first symptom I felt when this all started happening.

1-i feel a burning sensation/irritation on my penis top
2-my testicles itch but i don't feel the need to scratch, its more uncomfortable than actual need for itch
3-i feel tingling on my penis top
4-I drive for a living so i sit all day and when i am home i sit in front of my computer all night so i feel like my testicles are sticking to either my underwear or my thighs so i have to stand up and readjust my underwear or just move my legs
5-the skin under my testicles feels itchy going into my anus/butt cheeks
6-the area above my penis where public hairs are feels painful/itchy
7-feeling some irritation around my anus/butt cheeks.  sometimes pai too

This has been going on since mid may, i am beyond frustrated.  I have seen doctors who have given me pills to kill fungus, i have put on so many creams for weeks to kill the so called jock itch

i am seeing my dermatologist again on Wednesday and i have an appointment to see a urologist for august 4th

I want some damn answers so i can deal with this situation, reading every where online a lot of people say some of these signs are for genital herpes.  Do people with genital herpes really suffer on daily bases even when they have no outbreaks?

i was recently diagnosed  for high blood sugar and i was told i am pre diabetic, some of the symptoms of diabetes also cause problems in groin area/rashes and darken of the inner thighs  

I hope i can find some answers fast, i am getting married in few months and this stuff has been really killing me insides,  its always what i am thinking about

i just got retested today and HSV2 came back negative again.  3 tests all 3 negative

i am thinking the week 16 test is just for my peace of mind,  

may 30th
july 7th
august 4th

all 3 negative

Thank you kindly no more questions, i will get tested after 16 weeks just for my peace of mind.  But i will from now live my life to the fullest and not let this thing bother me as much as it had.

As you already have HSV1, oral sex is not at a practical way to be infected with either HSV1 or HSV2. Rule that out.

An initial outbreak will basically just about always include the site of entry wherever this may be. This could be the penis or elsewhere in the boxer short region.

Yes, I think you are 7 weeks since exposure to you last test. 80% of people who are infected show positive antibodies by that time.

also i don't see any reddish pimples anywhere which are filled with fluid or cause pain

and you told me once before that genital herpes is on the penis itself and not anywhere else

yeh she did give me oral sex without me wearing a condom and that has me a little worried.  so yes that test is only for my peace of mind and nothing else(i am hoping/praying it stays negative)

i don't have any major issues with my penis besides the tingling/burning sensation on penis top sometimes

but its my public hair that's right above the penis(under where my belly button is, that's where i feel like real irritation

weird thing about this whole process has been the fact i don't feel the need to itch, its not like i feel like clawing/scratching.  This whole thing is just irritation with sometimes burning sensation/tingling

MY family physician told me that if i had or would get genital herpes its very easy to tell because its very obvious

do you think the 2 tests i take that came back negative for HSV2 is a good sign so far?  if i had gotten HSV2 wouldn't i by now get a positive IgM for HSV2?   first one was may 30th and 2nd one 5 weeks later on july 7th

It is unclear as to whether there is reduced chance of infection with an existing HSV infection of a particular type against the other Best to assume not.

Yes it is possible that you might miss an initial outbreak with HSV2, I'm not sure you would though!

I think you'd only be testing at 16 weeks for your peace of mind. I don't see it as much of a chance given protected sex with someone of unknown status (meaning there is a good chance she didn't have it at all!)

this last question:

do you mean if someone has HSV1 they are less likely to get HSV2 infection? or do you also mean that in my case for example since i have HSV1 already, if i were to get infected by HSV2 i wouldn't even notice my first outbreak of HSV2?

and thanks for clearing up the fat that in between outbreaks there is nothing, this rules me out because my symptoms have been consistent for last 8 weeks, and i know outbreaks don't last this long

Yes once you have HSV1, an infection with HSV2 is most often less of an issue than if you had no form of HSV previously. Most report not even noticing an initial outbreak.

And yes, between outbreaks, I wouldn't know I had the virus.

I will seeing my dermatologist, i am guessing he is right and i only have jock itch/fugues problems.  Its just what i read online is very scary sometimes.  Its my follow up appointment after 3 weeks.

I will also get tested in mid-late september just so it will be after 16 weeks to make sure i don't have HSV2(and i really hope i don't)

I am just gonna start living my normal life, this thing has gotten control of my mind and now its time to move on

do you mean that most people with HSV1 have very minimum affects to begin with? could you please explain what do you mean by that sentence?


For most people, I'm one, the virus is an annoying lesion on an infrequent basis. No other symptoms.....and by this you mean its only bothersome when you have an outbreak otherwise when no outbreaks its living life as usual?

Be careful what you read. You are probably reading about people with the same symptoms as yours trying to link them to herpes and they actually are not infected.

if i had HSV2 wouldn't a test by now show some sort of signs?  and wouldn't i have had some sort of out break?

so the next test i should do is after 16 weeks for real confirmation?

thanks i was really worried about my symptoms, on the net there are many sites who give all sort of signs of symptoms and link them to possibly Genital herpes

one last question and this is just for general info, someone with genital herpes suffers all the time or only when they have an outbreak?  do people with genital herpes really live an uncomfortable life because of problems around their genitals area like itching/irritation/burning sensation?

or the only time they have to really worry or suffer is when they have an outbreak?

There is also most no doubt that you have had an oral HSV1 infection since your youth. The results just identify an infection, the numeric values are of no real significance.

As such, the only practical risk is HSV2. You may wish to have a test 16 weeks after the possible exposure to confirm a negative.

However your symptoms are not indicative of genital herpes.

i really don't have any rash nor do i itch at all.  its just irritation majority of the times.  

i been told by 2 different dermatologist and my family physician that its jock itch or yeast infection
