Avoiding Herpes transmission in attempting child conception.

Hi everyone. I might not have been diagnosed but I suspect i have HSV2 judging by my symptoms and what I have read online is forums like this one. I'm in a relationship with a wonderful woman and we are planning on having a baby later on this year. Basically my question is is it possible for us to make a baby without me giving her this dreaded virus? I want to spend the rest of my life with her and I would hate myself if I pass it on to her because she's an angel and doesn't deserve such. And with our current financial situation we can't afford artificial insemination or anything like that. Please help guys. Any info would be appreciated.

P.S can someone please invent a cure for Sh#t already!!!!

I agree with Dave. Also is your fiancee aware of your possible condition?

Yes I've been 100% honest and she didn't judge me. She still chose to be with me. It just me love her more. She's an angel. I'm truly blessed.

It does sound like hsv2 is possible. They won't swab the blisters and test?

I'm afraid not. I'll have to go to a private clinic/lab and that costs a lot. But assuming I have HSV 2, how can I have a child without passing it on to my fiancé? I really wanna start a family and so does she.
Or should we just forget having children?
I know where I got it from. I hate that woman for not letting me know. She's married to another guy now (poor dude). I hate her.
You can go on suppressive medication that will inhibit the virus and will lesson any chance passing it but theres still no guarentee but would really cut down the risk for her. You really need to invest the money for testing to know for sure.

Thank you @feelingundone. Well it started in 2014 when I was dating my ex. I got terrible looking blisters in my penis and extreme pain. Went to a public clinic (couldn't afford private health care) and they told me I have herpes (without testing). Later on that year the same thing happened. My penis just hasn't felt normal since then. I have had pain come and go frequently for about 3 years now. Two months ago I got small blisters in my penis accompanied by the worst pain I can describe. Went to the public clinic again and they gave me acyclovir. Which I think hasn't done much because I've been in pain for past two to three months. I have fevers at night and a few weeks ago my inner thighs felt like I rubbed them with battery acid for a couple of days. I could by wrong but I strongly suspect HSV 2. Can you think of anything else that can be mistaken for HSV 2?

Hi, you cant confirm herpes from symptoms only testing would confirm this. Either a blood test or a swab of a sore if its a recent infection.

Thank you Life360_Dave for your response. I live in South Africa and health care for people who are not in good financial standing like myself is hell. Public clinics are useless at STI's. The range of tests they conducted is limited and Herpes is not one of them. Herpes tests cost about R4000 (roughly $300). I can't afford unfortunately. What I do know is that I would love to be a father and I don't want to infect the woman I love with anything I might have. I strongly suspect herpes.
