Just a final note on my saga - spoke with my doctor and he examined my genitals. It is not a herpes outbreak. He barely noticed anything at all. Saw one mole and on the tip he barely saw any discoloration. the redness has gone done. He thinks it was abrasion. Case close. Thanks so much for patience and help. Boy was this a long weekend. Take care friends.
Yes the lesions are essentially the same as appears on your face in most aspects. They do not contain pus and burst in that sense.
Last question. I'm sorry. What is a herpes skin lesion exactly. Is it redness or is it blisters like the type u get on your lips. Are they painful and do they burst. Sorry again - just trying to understand what I have. Thank you!
Why is that - herpes lesions break pus and heal I suppose? Thanks again.
No real need. Mostly there is no need to think whether you've had herpes lesions on your genitals... you'd know for sure!
Geez. Now I'm really confused with my three tests all stating positive for HSV1 and negative for HSV2 but meanwhile I think I have lesions on my glans. I need to have a long talk with a doctor.
No, your infection would be oral and hence you are basically immune to a genital HSV1 infection. You will not get HSV1 lesions on your genitals.
Or perhaps I'm just experiencing redness from friction. It's been 7 days?
Thank you for your response. what I meant is that I had a full panel of std tests three times a while ago to rule out all diseases. The results all came back the same. Clean with the exception of HSV1. I've read you can contract HSV1 through oral sex which I believe I did a few years a go. Question: I've had cold sores in the past - is it possible to also have sores on your genitals if you have HSV1 and if so can it be triggered by friction like through a vigorous lap dance? What I mean by sores is redness / tender / does not hurt / no pus. Thanks again! Your service is invaluable. Especially during a stressful Saturday night. I look forward to your further response. It would be greatly appreciated.
This is a zero chance of HSV2 infection based on what you describe.
I don't understand the bit about being identified with HSV1 last year... only once is needed as it resides with you for life.
