Basic Questions

I know that some of my questions might not make sense but I'm not very informed. Please respond.

If you have HSV-1, can you pass it by giving oral sex? Meaning the 'receiver' would get blisters down there.

If I go down on someone & they have HSV-2, can they give it to me? Meaning I would get outbreaks in my facial area.

What about having EITHER HSV types and rubbing or kissing someone elses part of their body, could it be transmitted that way?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is possible for you to pass on the virus, or get the virus through oral sex.  From what I understand, it isn't the most efficient way to spread the virus, but it can happen especially if either partner is having an oubreak or shedding.
Herpes is transmitted through skin to skin contact so depending on the type of rubbing you are doing, then yes, it's possible to get it that way. You can also get it through kissing if you are kissing someone that has a coldsore at the time you are kissing them.
