Blood Test Results

I got tested for HSV2 and the blood test came back an IgG of 1.22  My doctor told me I was positive for HSV2, however I have read that the IgG needs to be much higher for a difinitive positive.  Is there still hope that I may not have HSV2 or is it pretty much difinitive that I have the virus?

I had unprotected sex one month ago, could it be low because I was exposed to HSV2 recently?  I also have had HSV1 my entire life.

At this point, wait and repeat your blood test in 2 or 3 months just in case this is a newly acquired infection. Depending on the result you get at that time, depends on if you need additional testing or not.
