Bloodwork results confusing
I had a culture (after 48 hours) and a blood test recently after a small sore appeared inside my vagina. Doctor (OB/Gyn) said tiny sore "looked like herpes" and was not healing so culture would work, even though I was 8 days in.  Fast forward, IgG came back at 6.43 and culture was negative.  IgM is .53.  I'm waiting to speak to the Doc to see what strain it is and if it's actially herpes or just means I was exposed at some point in time.  I'm 45+ and have never had any symptoms. Anyone else have a situation like this?

All very fair questions.

There is no reason to suspect a genital herpes infection.

Did you have a combined HSV1/2 test? If so then this has detected an oral HSV1 infection most likely, have you ever experience oral cold sores?

I think it would be best to obtain IgG testing type specifiv for HSV1 and HSV2 if you can.

Do not get IgM, a useless test for adults.
