Unless you work somewhere where every tends to kiss each other romantically, it's not likely that you contracted hsv1 at work. It's transmitted thru direct skin on skin contact, not from droplet or aerosol contact like things like the common
cold are transmitted. If there does seem to be a bunch of new folks getting diagnosed by their docs with hsv1 orally, they need to be asking their doc's to prove it with lesion cultures because you all might be passing a staph
I never suggest abreva - it's incredibly over priced and only heals a cold sore up less than a day sooner than using a placebo. No bang for your buck with it.
Could this be a pimple or a cold sore? You can't always tell by looking. If you really want to know, see your provider for testing and proper evaluation of it. Meanwhile try not to touch it and do not pop it at all.
