Bumps in pubic area. Herpes?

So one night I recieved oral sex from this guy. We also made out that night. That is all we did and he was my last partner. 2 months later I notice a small (half the size of pea) firm bump at the base of my penis. The next day another much larger bump occured in the pubic hair area. Both bumps were pretty deep under the skin. They had no external opening so they couldnt be popped. They were not visible from the outside. Both bumps were considerably painfull, ESPECIALLY the larger one in my pubic hair area. I shaved all my pubes just to get a better look at what was goin on down there. Two more very small bumps with just a little pain appeared in my pupic hair region afterwards.

Day by day the bumps got smaller, until after a week they were gone. The largest bump was the last one to dissapear.

4 months pass, and now I have another slightly painful small bump under the skin at the base of my penis. This time to the right of where the last one was. This one is just like the first one. I also have a small bump in my pubic hair region that is painless, but I can feel it under the skin.

Is this herpes?

I never got a fever, or cuts, or any blistering. Also, I havent had any oral manifestations of bumps or any other signs near my mouth. I was thinking if the guy had oral herpes, wouldnt I have gotten oral herpes since I made out with him for minutes that night. I made out with him longer then he gave me oral sex.

Help!!!!

Thanks for the reply and the info on hsv1

No I havent had any herpes blood test, or any other kind of herpes test, Oh and im definetly not shaving this time, that caused alot of irritation last time.

Just an update: yesterday the bump at the base was acheing, and there was a hair comeing out around the center of the bump. After I pulled the hair out, the acheing stopped. The hair had a lot of white stuff around its root. The next morning the bump was half its size and no longer acheing, but still al little soar. It had also oozed a little white liquid by the time morning came. The other bump is still small, painless, and under the skin.

Im just nervous about this especially since its the second time something like this happened within 6 months since I was with that guy.

This sounds more like ingrown hairs or folliculitis than anything but see your provider for proper evaluation.  Don't shave your pubic hair again while these are going on!

Just as an fyi - most folks who have hsv1 orally, don't get obvious cold sores to know it. Have you ever had a herpes blood test to know your own status?
