but when I asked my doc to test me for it, she said that I might not get an accurate result. I could have a false neg or positive. Can I get a blood test done for it though?
testing + for hsv1 on a blood test would only tell you what you have, not where you have it. If you have active symptoms now, be seen for a proper work up and swabbing of active symptoms. just symptoms in the throat
and just wanted to hear peoples opinion on my questions. So I'm guessing that if my results come back negative, then I don't have any forms of herpes is that correct?
If they are negative it is a good bet you are negative. You need to make sure at least 3 months have passed since your last sexual encounter and that the test was a type specific igg test.
