Can I get herpes from a lapdance (I wore underwear, she wore nothing)?

Okay, so my bachelor party was last weekend. I had ZERO desire to have it, but for once in my life I caved to peer pressure of my friends. That's neither here or there, so I'll get right to it...

During the bachelor party, the stripper gave me a lap dance. I wore my boxer briefs and she was completely naked. Her lap dance consisted of her being on top and grinding her vagina into my underwear covered penis. I wonder if it's possible to get HSV-2 (if she happened to have it) that way. I actually called my doctor and asked him. He said no and I shouldn't worry. It wasn't enough, so I asked for a test. He's dealt with years of my paranoia, so he told me not to come in to take a test. For some reason, I'm still freaking out! It's been 4 days and I keep waiting for an outbreak. Oh man, I can't calm down.

So is it possible to get HSV-2 that way? I hate bachelor parties!

Dude, I think you're pretty safe:) Calm down and chill out. Having said that, if you ask for a test, the Doctor has no right to deny you that.

I think it's very doubtful you would have contracted the Herpes virus simply from her grinding against your boxers. The doctor has absolutely no right to refuse you a test. If you are paranoid about it, then it's better to be safe than sorry. Your local hospital will have a GUM clinic where they can test you for all STDs. It might be worth going there, even if it is just for peace of mind :)
