Can I still get HSV-2

I recently recieved and gave oral sex... theres a problem he claims he had " just a cold sore" three months ago and i get those at least 1 to 2 times a year. My question is if he has the HSV-2 virus can the antibodies from my HSV1 virus keep the HSV2  from contracting in my mouth. And since i have been freaking out about it is it still possible for the stress to cause a cold sore ( HSV1) to form. My tongue also itches on the sides is that a symptom. i must mentions i am a hypocpdriac and i have a bad case of axienty. i do pack on a lot of Carmex could that be the problem to?

o so curious

If I understand the question correctly, you have oral HSV-1 and are wondering if it's possible to subsequently contract oral HSV-2?  I don't think this is possible.  Any newly introduced HSV-2 is going to be 'out competed' by your existing HSV-1 orally.  It's HSV-1's home turf, so to speak.

Let's see what the experts think.

This is a very good question. I posted something to this a few days ago. I am not sure if u can get type 2 on your mouth if u already have type 1.
