I am not asking if PETS can "CONTRACT" herpes from humans. I already know thats not possible. What I am asking is if PETS, like an INANIMATE object, can CARRY/PASS herpes via their surfaces (fur, lips
, mouth or tongue the HERPES virus and if it is pet or kissed by another human, in the same areas of the dog that the HERPES infected person's sores came into contact with, the dog could pass the HUMAN HERPES to the receiving human?
Again, I am not asking if a dog can be infected with human herpes. I'm asking if a dog can act as an inanimate object (like a glass or utensil) and pass human Herpes over to another human just the same way a glass or utensil can from the mouth of an infected/outbreaking person.
If, "YES", then how long could herpes live outside on the dog's fur, skin, lips, nose etc...?
Why not? People shed Herpes all year long even when they are not in outbreak, why can't a dog's fur transmit the herpes like drinking/eating behind someone can?
