Can hsv2 live in water?

Say I touch the h area outbreak and no outbreak, I wash my hands with soap and water then use a blow dry unit to dry my hands and water splashes off my hands and hits my in the eyes and mouth. Is this way capable of spreading the virus ? This did happen to me and for 2 days my eye is very uncomfortable and burns. Thanks.

Hi again - soap and water kills the virus instantly. By the time you blow dry your hands, it's dead as a doornail.

Hi from what your describing, its not possible, first of all even passing hsv2 to the facial area is not common,  any eye herpes is most often contracted by the virus traveling through the facial nerves.
