Can you catch hepes from saliva

If a person has oral herpes and spits in your mouth can you catch herpes ?



  My Brother got in a altercation a while ago words were exchange and the other person spit on my brother and some of the saliva what is launch in his mouth a few  weeks later or maybe a month he started to develop a cold sore .. went and got
Tested and was diagnosed with herpes ... could it be possible he have caught herpes from that "lugey"

The odds of that are slim to none and far closer to none. In fact i would be very confident in saying not a chance this lead to hsv.
Hsv is not concentrated in fluids. Saliva is extremely inefficient at spreading hsv. In fact it helps break it down and destroy it. His swallowing said saliva will not lead to transmission of the virus either. It needs to be massaged into a mucous membrane or skin.
Your brother contracted it somewhere else
